Thought that was interesting that the narrator of the video mentioned that you might remember this coffee maker from Grandma's house !   

 

Sounds like some superb brew...that's all that counts !

That looks nice, a bit too fancy and modern for my taste. I'll stick with my hot pot of water and cup size copper filter. Not much to break down and repair here.

We used Bunn Automatic Drip coffee makers

 

right up until my Brother Tom bought us a Kuerig.

 

 

Best coffee ever, is perked in an old style pot,

The vacuum distillation extracts more oils at a lower heat so it's less acidic.

Sounds like my kind of brew !  That's the issue I have with Star Bucks !  The home brew...Way too much acid.  Now the $5.35 Cappucinno  or the Mocha with lots of chocolate...that's another story.

So does star bucks out do the homebrew by much? Quality wise. (We don't have Starbucks where I live - they are in Auckland and maybe Wellington but nowhere else that I know of).

 Even though Star Bucks, the house brew is fresh and inexpensive, tastes like its been kept hot all day...extremely acidic. Except for Blonde coffee. But the specialty $5.00 Macchiatos,  Cappuccinos, Mochas and  lattes are so much better...just pricey.  

 

I get up early and serve my wife fresh home brewed coffee...nothing fancy, Maxwell house medium roast or inexpensive Folgers.  It's the thought that counts.
