Ruining the Earth - Rev 11:18 and Jer 10:23

Humans, and their scientific leaders have helped to ruin the earth through "well-intentioned" inventions, innovations and experiments with nature.  Here is one dubbed "Carpageddon", which is a plan to eliminate rogue carp living in our waterways.  Of course the carp is an introduced species which has all but killed off the native fish, and is destroying the river habitat.

 

Carp are one of the prime causes of degradation in our rivers. ... However a plan to finally control/eliminate these "rabbits of the river" by introducing the herpes virus to kill them may in fact backfire and kill the other species by sapping the rivers of oxygen due to their abundant carcasses decomposing.  " Small changes in oxygen levels can have big ramifications for native wildlife. "  And it is not feasible to hang around and collect the dead fish either, as most sink to the bottom.  What a mess!!!

Here' another stupid idea to eradicate another introduced species - feral goats. So putting dingoes, implanted with a time-release poison capsule, on the island to eliminate the goats is a good idea????  It took the Environment minister's intervention to say no, no on!  Other vulnerable and near threatened species are also on the dingoes menu, aren't they?  Really, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.....

This year's melting season started with a rapid melt in the first half of July, as above average temperatures warmed the region. 

Things changed due to low atmospheric pressure and increased cloud cover over the central Arctic, halting the ice's rapid retreat.

According to Joey Comiso, senior scientist at Goddard, 2013 is unlikely to set any new lows.

“But average temperatures in the Arctic fluctuate from one week to another, and the occurrence of a powerful storm in August, as happened in 2012, could cause the current rate of decline to change significantly,” Comiso said in a press release.

A fair number of storms have gripped the Arctic this summer, but none were intense like the cyclone that struck in August 2012. 

“Last year’s storm went across an area of open water and mixed the smaller pieces of ice with the relatively warm water, so it melted very rapidly,” Meier said. “This year, the storms hit in an area of more consolidated ice. The storms this year were more typical summer storms; last year’s was the unusual one.”

The ice cap along the Arctic has thinned considerably over the last couple of decades, making it very vulnerable to melt.

A thinner first time ice will behave more erratically in the summer than a multi-year ice. Conditions this summer weren't favourable to substantially melt new ice.

Antarctic ice growing

In contrast, Antarctic ice is in its growth season and could set new records for size.

On August 21 it reached 19.3 million sq km. A year ago the extent of Antarctic sea ice for the same date was 18.33 million sq km.

Many research studies are currently investigating why there is such a large contrast between Arctic and Antarctic conditions. 

The rate Arctic is melting currently surpasses growth rates seen in the Antarctic.

May 2016 set a new record low for the month for the period of satellite observations, at 12.0 million square kilometers (4.63 million square miles), following on previous record lows this year in January, February, and April. May’s average ice extent is 580,000 square kilometers (224,000 square miles) below the previous record low for the month set in 2004, and 1.39 million square kilometers (537,000 square miles) below the 1981 to 2010 long-term average.

 

Based on records, only nine years - seven of which were in the 1980s - saw lower sea ice extents through the latter half of May and into the beginning of June.

In contrast to Arctic sea ice extents, the extent of ice surrounding Antarctica has been above average for years now, mainly as a consequence of cold, fresh water pouring into the ocean's top layer from melting glaciers on land, but also due to strong winds pushing the ice further away from the continent. Despite this, the trend seen in the Antarctic lately is not expected to last. While the southern ocean has been sheltered from effects of global warming more than any other place in the world, this may be a sign that its influence is starting to take its toll, even in that remote part of the globe.

 

 

Turning carbon dioxide into rock

We have a serious problem brewing in our atmosphere, and it's only getting worse as emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases continues to rise.

One solution to this problem could be to extract the troublesome CO2 from the air, and store it. Without the excess CO2 in the atmosphere to trap heat, we could see a reasonable limit put on global warming and climate change. However, the problem with Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) techniques has always been where to put the carbon after you've captured it. After all, if your storage site springs a leak, the problem starts all over again.

A team of researchers, working as part of the CarbFix project, may have found a solution, though. Rather than simply pumping the gas into a storage facility, they have found a way to permanently turn the carbon into rock.

By dissolving the carbon dioxide into water, and then pumping that water down and through the volcanic basalt bedrock of Iceland, the researchers found that the carbon reacted with the rock, producing carbonate minerals.

"Carbonate minerals do not leak out of the ground, thus our newly developed method results in permanent and environmentally friendly storage of CO2 emissions," study lead author Dr. Juerg Matter, from the University of Southampton and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University, said in a statement. "On the other hand, basalt is one of the most common rock type on Earth, potentially providing one of the largest CO2 storage capacity."

While this kind of process was thought to take a very long time, up to thousands of years, the team discovered it happening on a much shorter time scale during their tests.

"Our results show that between 95 and 98 per cent of the injected CO2 was mineralized over the period of less than two years," Matter said, "which is amazingly fast."

Not just the bees, but look at those spraying the stuff, they're dressed up in chemical suits with rebreathers, what about the families and folks all around who are unprotected. They should have been evacuated during the spraying but nope. We will see death toll rising. Oh Jehovah how long will this madness go on? This is TRULY madness!

They quickly stated on the news that if you have allergies you may want to stay in while they spray...but they have never stated any specific times they have or are going to spray so they covered themselves for liabilities in my opinion.

Giant holes are popping up all over the frigid tundra of northern Russia, and no one is quite certain where they come from.

However, the Siberian Times reports that witnesses are now describing explosive events that may be connected to the appearance of these mysterious craters.

The spray is dangerous to humans and EVERYTHING including unborn babies according to the European Union which banned its use in even the hardest hit zones for Zika. They have already been spraying this stuff so again, no one did their homework or they just didn't care about the living creatures in its path.

 

Crazy, they are scared of Zika because of the effects it has on unborn babies so let's spray chemicals that will do the same!

Sister Cheryl; I completely agree!  They certainly have an agenda alright (Agenda 21--Agenda 2030) .  Like you say,  1st "create" the problem, then 'create/force the cure' (vaccines)  for Big Pharma to profit.  That's why over 50 natural/holistic drs. have bn killed--for exposing link between vaccines and autism (not to mention the other god-awful things they're causing, including death), and cures for cancer.  Cancer is big business!  Can't have money  taken out of Big Pharma's pockets!  What an evil, evil system we live in.  Of course we know why.

Agreed ... interesting thing is ... not sure if you remember a program back in the 70's may have been early 80's ... Jacque Cousteau ... He was a man of the ocean, and he warned us then, that by the year 2017 or so may have been 2018 this earth will be unliveable if they didn't start paying some attention to it then.

In regard to the naturopathic doctors I'm aghast. Why isn't someone talking about to these deaths? NP's are successful and gets in the way of big pharma and the media doesn't want to rock the boat on THAT. Isn't it just the craziest/insanest way that the world is now- how everything that was once unthinkable is now what is pushed on us. Or something that was once good (vaccines) have become toxified (to see how humans will react) and, if the law passes, we will have vaccines forced on us. Next is forced blood transfusions?

The death of the ocean - documentary  about the importance of the ocean. I saw the end of this, and it's quite confronting what is happening to those poor animals on the ocean. I knew, but then this is even more so.
