Doesn't look like it, the storm track looks like it gonna landfall near Tallahassee. West Palm Beach is getting some rain and 30-40mph winds but the eye is well West and North of them....for now.

Opps. I said West Palm Beach buts it's actually Palm Coast which is halfway between Daytona and Jacksonville.

BTW: Google maps calls it Watchtower Educational Center Florida. :)

The Palm Coast facility is not in the path of Hermine. However, it is in the path of the storm system related to it.

The hurricane is coming to the WEST coast and Palm Coast is on the EAST coast of the state. So, direct impact of the hurricane when it comes on land should not be a factor to Palm Coast. However, there is expected to be signifigant rain, flooding and high seas on both coasts.

Since the building/campus is located far enough from the actual coast, storm surge should not be a problem. Additionally, the area of the property is located in is not really in a flood danger area. The building is about 1.4 miles from the shore, as the crow flies) and the Matanzas River is in between. It would take an unrealistic surge to reach the building. The area also has quite good drainage for the road system so even heavy rain should not flood the buildings.

Unless there is a problem with the roof(s), other than the threat of tornadoes and/or power outages - I would not expect any complications at the PC facility (WECF)

Currently, we are getting a steady dose of rain and some wind and we lost power for about 1.5 hours - it is back on or I would not be able to post this. We are about 70 miles close to the storm's landfall then Palm Coast, however, we are still a long way from the direct effects when it does come ashore (about 150 miles)
