I guess the only positive way to look at this,  is that these ones will get a resurrection into a peaceful new world.  As harsh as it sounds they are probably better off asleep in the ground of dust,  than the life they would probably have had if they had survived.

That is just catastrophic! The numbers are increasing exponentially every year.  The tiny island of Lampadusa which is their first port of call must be suffering too having to handle all the ones that manage to land on their shores.  The whole mess is an indictment on the way humans have set up and run their systems.  There is just no simple way to stop boats coming to Europe as those fleeing economic and political distress see they have no other option other than to risk death trying to get to their "new world".

People that been inculcated with the idea that because "terrorists" might come across too, we should not help these desperate people, and "they take our jobs and ruin society". Much like the discussion in America where some people seriously wants to build a wall against a friendly nation. And have them pay for it. May the Kingdom of God settle things soon.

Sadly, that is the same mentality over here in Australia.  Many people died trying to get here by boat, whether fleeing the killing fields of Cambodia and Vietname in the 70's or the more recent boat arrivals from Asia - Afghan and Pakistan and Sri Lankan seeking asylum.  All have incredible burdens and baggage they bring with them, fleeing horrific conditions - they will never be "normal" in our society.  They will never really fit in.  Then further vilification as they are wrongly branded as terrorists or of "taking our jobs" etc.

People are the same everywhere, that is what we forget.  If we weren't living in affluent lands, wouldn't we also pick up our own meager belongings and do whatever we could to flee our war-torn or other horrific circumstance?  The point though is that there is no organised quick solution - refugees in refugee camps sponsored by the UN (and other "official" centres for registration of refugees and asylum seekers) are stuck there for YEARS, some for 20 years.  That shows how broken our world is when we can't compassionately help other humans in distress.

However they were able in the past to help those refugees after WW2 is just not working now. The system reflects its ugly ruler - James 3:15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above; it is earthly animalistic, demonic.

from what i noticed,it seems like most of these immigrants fleeing to europe are from war-torn muslim dominated countries.these are countries where the activities of Jehovah's witnesses has been greatly suppressed for decades, making it extremely difficult for precious bible truths to spread to honesthearted ones living there.i really want to hope that this mass immigration trend into europe (although obviously discomforting for both the europeans and probably some of the immigrants too) could turn out to be of great advantage in the spread of bible truths to certain ones of these immigrants who are truelly honesthearted,a thing that would have been extremely difficult if not impossible had it been in their home countries - 1 Tim 2;3,4.
bible history has clearly shown how migration (although hardly convenient in most cases) has always played a useful role in helping individuals who are rightly disposed for everlasting life to learn about our awesome God Jehovah and to become zealous members of his clean and peaceful universal organization.

However,it is still very necessary that we exercise the needed cautiousness when dealing with people who are NOT YET worshippers of Jehovah - matthew10:16.

This is true, we need to use our Bible trained insight to balance our feelings (racist or fear of terrorists) and be able to help sincere ones, but not also take whatever precautions we need. It's a dangerous world, more and more so, so our witnessing needs to be more targeted and focussed and 'intelligent', while praying on Jehovah to guide us to those needy ones. We must be very careful not to judge, leaving that to Jehovah.
