Cryolipolysis

Has anybody ever heard of cryolipolysis? It is a method of icing the body's fat cells so that they are "killed off" and your body forced to demolish them. It is supposedly a viable method of removing body fat without the risks and side-effects of liposuction, for example.

 

I couldn't find a lot of information on the web, I was wondering if anybody here has ever heard anything bad about it.

World has gone mad. Some want to freeze the fat off. Some add that fat, here and there. Try to eat sensibly,  and try to exercise. I know this is not applicable in lots of instances, but, one day, that gaining weight business will not be such a problem. We will be able to work with our bodies and actually it will cooperate.

Zeltiq seems popular for fat removal (by icing). Some people have tried it at home. Thermage is another popular non surgical fat removal.  A sister I know had a large amount of fat removed (not by these two methods) but by typical surgery. But she continued to overeat, she says, and the fat came back in different places. She feels that she looks deformed now.  That's just one anecdotal report.  I intend to do more exercise for toning when my back injury improves (yawn).   We don't have a gym anywhere in town, but I found out if we did, I could get coverage through my insurance.

I'm not the one with the problem, my wife is. We do eat rather healthy and she isn't lazy or anything, she has a "problem area" around her stomach. Her weight is absolutely fine, it's just that her body seems to store 10x as much fat around her stomach. And it's driving her crazy.
