A French investigative report concluded that Assad's Syrian regime was again behind the recent sarin gas attack on villagers in Idlib province on 4 April.

Environmental samples, the French ministry said, showed the weapons were made "according to the same production process as the one used in the sarin attack perpetrated by the Syrian regime in Saraqeb" on April 29, 2013.

Mr Ayrault also said French intelligence services showed only Syrian Government forces could have launched such an attack using a bomber taking off from the Sharyat airbase.

The Russians are still denying this is possible.

Russia's Government promptly denounced the French report, saying the samples and the fact the nerve agent was used were not enough to prove who was behind the attack.

We lay-people can't know the truth for sure until the end, or maybe never.  But it is interesting that, if this is true,  Russia stubbornly backs Assad's brutal attack, showing itself to be just as uncaring to human beings (it's a particularly nasty way to die, suffering terribly).  It's a glimpse of their mentality towards anyone who gets in their way - brutally oppress them.

Read a news story on this one. A Syrian plane bombed ISIS weapon depot and poison gas was released from their weapons, not the Syrian's. Today there is an incredible amount of propaganda in the news, it seems to be mostly lies these days. It would most certainly no be in the syrian's interests to use potion gas, yet there have been reports from time to time of them doing just that. Each and every one of these gas stories is a fake news piece. Certain parties are attempting to get rid of the Syrian government and spread propaganda supporting their cause, look how well it worked with the American government firing missiles at a syrian air force base. Trump probably knew it was fake news and may even have originated it. The governments lie to the public to manipulate them into doing what they want, look at how well it is working for Trump. Until people found out the aircraft carrier sent to North Korea was sailing to Australia. Or how about all that Russian hacking that never happened? Like I said, the news is so full of lies these days. I recommend checking online news sources like Zero hedge and the drudge report. You will find lies there too, but they often tell a different story than what the main stream news has, and that at times can be very revealing.

I didn't read all of it. Does anyone know why these people were bombed?

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.

Short answer? If Assad, it is to eliminate the rebels as the rebel held territory was bombed.  If the rebels, it was to blame Assad while sacrificing their own people, collateral for their brutal regime.  The scenario from William " A Syrian plane bombed ISIS weapon depot and poison gas was released from their weapons, not the Syrian's"  is another possibility.

A more detailed run down on all the players is here, in this article.

This article looks bleakly at the possible options going forward (from the world's point of view). http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-04-07/syria-from-arab-spring-to-us-air-strikes/8425816

I don't think we will ever know for sure if Assad did drop those chemical bombs on his own people.  But really, does it matter? So many hundreds of thousands have already died, millions are displaced.  What really matters is that this place and conflict rivals and surpasses the most miserable conflict ever in history.  It is affecting all nations to some extent.  There is basically no way out to solve it now - it's just destroyed everything.  Unless Jehovah's kingdom is the solution, nothing else is, that's for sure.

My reaction is the same to every scenario, I personally don't need that level of detail to know it was a horrific murder and we need the Kingdom...

Thanks for the reply. While it's true that we need God's kingdom, I on the other hand, like to know why these like this happened in the first place.
