We don't have live television,  I usually check the net or watch YouTube videos if something is going on. This civil unrest over there sounds like it is ramping up to civil war.  That would be horrible.

:offtopic:  We don't either.  We got rid of cable in 2009 and I've not been able to get an aerial to work.  We do have a Roku and I've found some alternatives.

The CBS News Roku app has live programming.  There are also also other local news apps that have live or continuous streams.

We also have used the USATVNOW app.  You can watch live TV from Harrisburg PA.  All the networks and a few other channels.

Now we return you to our regular discussion.  :offtopic:

You are misunderstanding. It's through the Internet but offers some cable content.

The website serves US citizens living abroad but want local US programs

Not yet---

We have cable here in this area, Wave Broadband.

I use it for internet and landline, I cancelled the TV part of the bundle.

We also have Roku. I watch the  'Pluto' channel,  it has dozens of live channels,  a good number of news programs.

They also have a nature channel,  I forgot the name,  it just shows hours of beautiful vistas, babbling brooks, green pastures, all live. Well, not 'live,' but recordings,  in motion.

I  find that I would much rather listen to the surf, or birds and running streams, than listen to the talking heads on the TV...

Now, back to the regularly scheduled programing, already in progress....
