Guess who?

Recommended Posts

Hmm not sure if this is a riddle, game or puzzle honestly.

Just looking into other avenues of making a living, been looking at extending my present circumstances - but at the same have huge self doubts I can.

So here is a test (on myself) - can any of you guess what movie this quick simple sketch below is from? It's one I think most of us would know.

Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman)?

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

"zero" facial recognition,

Me too. The worst part is that I can't recognise new bible students at the hall, my own bible student whom I had decided not to continue the study, helpers at stalls where I had placed literature a couple of times. They would smile at me and I'll be having a tough time recalling where I saw them. Next time I will have snap photos of them and list them on my phone.

I couldn't even recognise this black tabby who hangs around the house. Finally, I tied a ribbon around his neck. I will next have to harness a bell on him since he is always stealing my cats' food.

Breakfast at Tiffany's...it's a very good likeness of Audrey Hepburn!👍

Perhaps you can share the photo you sketched from so others can see the likeness?👀

Well done ... it was a freeze frame from youtube.

I can do good likenesses if I take my time, but to make money from portraits you need to draw fast .. and that I'm not so good at.

I'll do another one later. Maybe keep it in pencil this time and over work it in pen.

Audrey Hepburn and Orangey in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)

That nose should have been a dead giveaway. Not someone belonging to this era of excessive cosmetic reconstruction.

I saw a show on it - it's a real thing. I thought I was an uncaring dope before I saw it and it dawned on me, that like all these other people, I had real "facial recognition" problems!  It's the way the brain is wired.  There are extreme cases like, they showed this woman with 2 children, a boy and a girl, both different ages (by a couple of years) and she couldn't tell them apart!  I'm not that bad, but if you are a sister in my congregation and you change your makeup, even though I've known you for years, I won't recognize you. I have a fleshly sister who lives in town and whenever we meet in a store and she's says "hi" I struggle to figure out who she is and I almost always come to the wrong conclusion.  Thank heavens my husband is on the exact opposite end of the spectrum - he recognizes people from his 1st grade class! It's uncanny! He recognizes all kinds of people he hasn't seen in over 20+ years.

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D

How are you at characitures? Those are a big thing here in the US.  People set up a booth and do them at fairs, zoo's and even bars.

I saw around 10-12 booths in Montreal yesterday, they charged $10 for black and white drawing of the face, and $15 for colour.

Very talented people (same goes for Mandy)
