Maybe his reading the bible will go further and turn him to the right direction...

It is interesting that the origins of this prosperity gospel go back to the 1880s in the US. It is also known by other names such as the "health and wealth gospel" and "the success gospel". It is a version of the "American gospel of pragmatism, individualism, and upward mobility", which in turn is said to be "a reductive version of the American Dream". 

 

It explains why the US has such a system of values and mentality. Forms of this ideology have also spread to other nations, including the former Soviet countries. For example, US-funded NGOs and missionaries come to our region and preach to people about it. Many now have this "get rich at the expense of your neighbour and the planet, go up the social and career ladder and enjoy life to the full" mentality. 

 

I did not know that this destructive ideology had its roots in false religion.
