Gainesville police have arrested UF student Khalil Reed, 24, after the shooting near a Gainesville Walmart in Butler Plaza.

Police say Reed met with four men in a Walmart parking lot to sell them cannabis. Reed parked in front of the store to make the deal then they stole Reed's cannabis. Reed fired multiple shots into a crowded parking lot, shooting and injuring three people.

When police arrived, they contacted a 20-year-old white male with several gunshot wounds.
Police say the car the male arrived in had several bullet holes on the driver's side. This person was taken to the hospital along with two other victims.

And I have a couple daughters who deliver to this store around 4 AM

This sort of thing happens all the time sadly. My son got to see a police action against an armed couple who had already killed at least one person at another location. Also in a WLmart parking lot. Surprisingly no one was killed at the Walmart arrest site.

At least this shooting was not a person gone crazy and shooting random people - this was a drug deal gone bad ...

They said on our local news that many customers just ignored the shooting and went on with their shopping.

Hmmm..unbelievable ...

Is this how people "get used to shootings?"

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

People are goofy. It’s been noted in one case of a fire in a store that some customers actually tried to take their goods through the checkout lanes!

This is also why so many people do not see the changes in the world around them and respond appropriately ( by heeding Jehovah’s warnings and drawing close to Him). Their “ Normalcy Bias” causes them to numbly just keep right on doing what they always have “ men marrying and women being given in marriage “ “ WLmart 4 am shoppers just shambling along.

Very common now to say the least, even in my area, we’ve just had at least 4 shootings and dead gangsters, they shoot in daytime in front of people, doesn’t matter where, drive thrus of a Starbucks, you name it. You never know what will happen when your out in public, got to be ready for anything.
