The planets

Recommended Posts

There's a programme called the planets by Brian Cox and also a book and I wanted to watch it as I love all the space stuff and galaxy's but Brian Cox doesn't believe in God and believes that the planet's just formed so it puts me off watching it's a shame as I love knowing that stuff as it draws me closer to jehovah.

I heard a CO say once that we can learn a lot from these shows if we just substitute "creation" for "evolution" and "Jehovah" for "Nature." Brian Cox may not give attribution to Jehovah but a lot of what we know about how planets form is still accurate. We know matter comes from energy. The big difference between us and them is the source of that energy: Jehovah or Nothing.

I've noticed too these presenters who are supposedly one way, toggle between evolution and the word 'design' almost like they aren't processing that design means a Creator.

Hi Lee,

I have seen many different shows with Brian Cox presenting the science. 1 of the reasons I like him is that he speaks with awe about the universe and Earth. So I imagine him 1 day becoming 1 of our brothers, he just needs a Bible Study. :)

"Create in me a pure heart, O God, And put within me a new spirit, a steadfast one" (PS 51:10)

Carl Sagan was like that. Full of awe and wonder about the universe, yet spouting the party line of evolution.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.
