We just had a blizzard here, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, USA.

I dug my bird feeders out twice yesterday and again this morning.

Actually, I only half dug them out. :D

I didn't have the energy to dig them all the way out,

and, even if I had the energy, there was no place to put all the snow.

Our front porch and the window feeders will just have to wait

to be re-discovered. :D

Oh my...

How many feet is that!!! And easy does it sis

Thanks, Sister Cyre! ❤️  I will shovel out in 'stages'. :D

Adding yesterday's snow with overnight's snow total comes to about a foot and a half,

but there are three foot drifts in our driveway from the blizzard force winds.

First blizzard I think we ever got from the SOUTH.

Can't wait to hear how much Linda/Loopy has to blow out of her driveway

over Munising way this morning.  She lives a lot closer to 'the' Lake.:D

A squirrel dug out and is enjoying some dropped sunflower seeds:

Can't see the feeders

So I had to stand up on our sofa to take this:

I let Sophie out this morning, peaked around the corner of the house. It’s going to be a back breaking job just to shovel the path to the garage with that drift.  ☹️

Not looking forward to going out.

Yes, first real blizzard we had this year.

I have no concept of what that must be like. No idea at all since we don’t have any snow or blizzards or freezing temps in most of Australia.

Stay warm and safe! And yes, don’t overdo it.

I’m not sure this fits, but I just thought of it. ☺️

Think of a sandstorm. High strong winds blowing the sand up along your house. Around your outbuildings. High drifts of sand blocking bird feeders ☺️, sidewalks...stuff like that.

Looks very pretty 😄❄️

Hahahahaha! Till you have to shovel that stuff.

When married sisters say, “O I love winter.”  (for skiing ⛷, snowmobiling, stuff like that)

I ask them, “Do you have to shovel, scoop, or snow blow?”

”My husband does that.”

I just growl and say, “I don’t have that option, I do all 3 and I hate winter. “

It is supposed to get up in the forty degree range by tomorrow.

The heat will take our snow back down...again.

The world has its sayings:

If March comes in like a lion, it will leave like a lamb.

April showers bring May flowers.

We Yoopers (people in the U.P.  Upper Peninsula)

have a saying, too:

April blizzards freeze our gizzards.  :D

We have even had blizzards in MAY.

(Tend to take a lot of the leaves off.)

Ok.

The first pic is a snowblower. It gobbles up the snow and spits it out the chute.

The 2nd one is a drift that builds up on the east side of the garage.

The next one is after I shoveled the path to the garage 😤

The last one, (can’t see it to clearly) is I think before I shoveled.
