I'm thinking of offering my web development skills to help struggling businesses next month

Recommended Posts

Right now, it's just a general idea I have. I'm in brainstorming mode, and all this month, I'm gonna learn more and more on ReactJS, possibly NodeJS, and at least one PHP framework. I'm thinking of using my web development skills to help small businesses that are struggling due to Coronavirus in some way. Ideas I was considering included: expanding ecommerce, creating an interface for offering contact-less orders of goods, maybe doing some SEO for business sites, or working on promotional sites. I know, a few years ago, I had worked on a plan for creating software on the web that automates a lot worker/management tasks to make things easier/cheaper for shops. I might evualate the ideas I had, and see what could be useful.
For anyone who has a small business are there any features a website or maybe an app might have to offer that might help your business stay afloat, even if it's with less revenue than what you had before? Any ideas? I'll see where I'm at around this day May, and I'll have a better idea of what I can do.

So what I'm working on right now, is making dummy websites. I want to start with the route of web development, particularly for those who might be able to benefit from a site from which they can do ecommerce, announce events/auctions, and just be a general hub for the business. Lemme know if you think that might be useful if you or someone you know owns a shop that struggling with this pandemic, and you think this might be helpful. I'm not a professional, just an enthusiastic amateur, but I'm pretty decent with front end, you can ask Ferb. I have a lot of time on my hands, as I'm not working right now, and, fortunately, I don't have to work right now, so it'll make me feel better to do something with my time that can potentially help others.

Once I'm kinda happy with what I've done with developing websites, and am in a good position to quickly build a site for someone, I might, then move on to building apps and web based software that can be helpful. This kind of thing might be more time consuming, but it might help automate things for someone who might more processes more automated to save money. I need to focus on one thing at a time though.
