I stopped at 19 seconds into that last 2nd video. I couldn't bare to watch.

Stinging insects, particular those that are yellow and black, are a genuine phobia of mine.

Now,  we’ll have to walk around with a mask, gloves, and hornet spray.

Whats next?  The GT hopefully. :coffee:

Watching Coyote Peterson has been my exposure therapy. 🙀 Though I still painfully flinch if anything so much as a fly buzzes near me.

It seems to have some counterbalance in it's natural ecosystem.

https://newstalkkzrg.com/2020/05/05/asian-honeybees-develop-novel-way-to-destroy-killerhornets/

"Dr. Mary “Katie” Kilmer is an assistant professor of biology and environmental health at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. She’s also the keeper for ten beehives located on a natural prairie area on the MSSU campus.

She says in Asia, bees have adapted to the presence of the seemingly invincible killer hornets – and have even developed a way to get rid of them.

“When a hornet comes up to the honeybee hives, the honeybees will actually all cluster around the hornet,” Kilmer states.

“They’ll physically vibrate their thorax – like we do when we shiver – so it gives off heat and they can cook the hornet alive in a ball of bees. They can get it hot enough so the bees are flying but the hornet dies.”

However, Dr. Kilmer says bees in the United States have not encountered the Asian hornet. They have not developed a similar defensive capacity."

Now I know what I must do.

Maybe it mutated.

So you think they evolved.
Maybe a bug from the spirit realm cross bred with a hornet and these are Nephlim hornets. :shrugs: :whistling:

I have been stung in the neck by a regular hornet. That was no picnic either. I can’t imagine this Japanese giant hornet on my neck. They’re known for decapitating their prey.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/10/24/got-em-washington-authorities-nab-murder-hornet-nest

The nest of Asian giant hornets, an invasive species, was the first ever found in the United States.

Hunt for the nest

In September, the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) said it hoped to find and eradicate the hornets’ nest by mid-month before new queens emerged and mated, which would help it “prevent the spread” of the invasive species.

The hornets are predatory to honey bees and other important insects.

The department said it had captured four live hornets in two separate traps on October 21 and October 22 and entomologists were able to attach radio trackers to three of those hornets. One of them led them to the nest.

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.
