How will gender roles change in the NW?

Recommended Posts

Not asking if males will still be responsible for leading..

But I wonder, because there won't be money anymore, and food is free and farming will be much easier

Will men be still expected to work outside to provide for the family ? (I'm not sure what 'providing for' in the NW even means, because food will be free.. at least no one will be starving just because he/she doesn't work)

Will girls be still expected to cook, clean and do other house chores that are not physically demanding?

What do you think?

Will gender be only a matter of looks in the end and not what he/she does or thinks?

The roles that a lady should play in society go beyond mere cooking and other household chores, in my humble opinion. However, I still believe just like before Adam and Eve sinned, as the man was the leading authority; it may likely be that way forever, at least in the family.

However, they are just mere speculation, and as did @dages correctly pointed: "The answer will probably be in the New Scrolls. Wait and see."

Through the organizations videos we see lots of women helping in construction work, a pretty physical job. And a couple of months ago I got to meet a really nice woman who was a freight truck driver.

These types of jobs arent for everyone- men or women. But with perfect bodies it does make you think that even more people will be capable of performing them or other physically demanding jobs like them.

This begs the question, will we still have 'the pill' in the new system?

I am not sying I am Superman, I am only saying that nobody has ever seen Superman  and me in a room together.

One hopes there would be some sort of way to manage the amount of children one would bear... 😳

I know of one sure way.

Hi Timothy, great questions. Let me add my 2 cents.

Two points

1) food will not be free....:nope: we will ALL have to work for it in some capacity.

Quote

In fact, when we were with you, we used to give you this order: “If anyone does not want to work, neither let him eat.” 2 Thess 3:10

2) The husband/father takes the lead and is responsible to Jehovah that his family is provided for. That doesn’t mean he must do all the work and earn all money etc....

They share the work. :coffee::crackwhip:

Think of all the things this system provides for us. We just take the food off the shelf and pants off the rack. IMO I don’t think we’ll have a lot of commercialism in the NW.

Growing, and harvesting  food Crops is hard work. Taking care of our homes, helping one another with projects,  Taking care of domestic animals and all the equipment that might require. Sounds like Work.

No loafers allowed.   :yawning:

Only healthy hard workers doing good practical satisfying work.
