The Pandemic Of The 1918 Spanish Flu

Recommended Posts

I was wondering, if anyone knows the history of our organization, and how they delt with the deadly Spanish Flu virus back in 1918. Obviously, 1918 was the year the first group who made up the Governing Body then, were thrown in Jail. But do we know if any of our brothers and sisters died as well? Plus, everyone was of the anointed then, so if they did die, according to the Faithful Slave,  that year of 1918, would have been the year, they MAY have started being gathered into heaven likely.

The organization was in disarray back then. You can see this by reading the WT at that period of time.

Will the history repeat itself?

I don't believe so as a global conflict now would surely destroy the world with nuclear weapons.

But anything is possible.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

No one really knows who was anointed or not at that time. Social expectations caused some to partake, even though they later said they never felt the heavenly calling, and were relieved when it was clear they could stay on Earth.
