United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres called on the world to declare a "state of climate emergency," as he opened a virtual summit Saturday aimed at reviving efforts to combat climate warming, five years after the Paris Agreement.

Guterres declared, "Today, I call on world officials to declare a climate emergency in their countries so that they can achieve carbon neutrality," noting that "there is a need from now for intensive efforts to reduce global emissions by 45 percent compared to 2010 levels by 2030."

Too little.

Too late.

Only Divine Intervention can save our earthly home.

I still recall this poem I heard back in the

late 60's, early 70's.

Even back then I could see the earth was doomed because there are waaaaaay more string pullers than there are string menders. :(

The Earth is Like a Tapestry

by Henry Gibson

The earth is like a Tapestry

Where worn, we ought to mend it.

For no one knows which string, when pulled,

may suddenly just end it.

Jehovah will never allow man to ruin His beautiful tapestry. :D
