Add to JWLibrary

Recommended Posts

I was hoping someone could help me learn how to get a book from JW.org into JWLibrary. Or from another app. I did it with my pioneer book a few years ago. I have a different iPad.  Now I don’t remember how I got it there. I think I had an app for that but I don’t see it now.

If you look at the download books, magazines, etc section on jw.org, there is option to download them on PDF and other various formats. You need to choose format called JWPUB. Download JWPUB file onto your mobile device or device where your JW Library is installed.

Afterward, simply locate the file you’ve just downloaded with your Files app, and the JW Library will automatically recognise and install the JWPUB file onto the library. If upon clicking/touching JWPUB file, the JW Library fails to recognise the file, you may need to additional steps, hopefully that doesn’t happen.

If you happen to use Chrome as your web browser rather than Safari, you can go to JW.ORG, select the book or file from the "Library" tab, click the download and choose 'jwpub" as the file you wish to download.  In Chrome it asks if you want to download it to your tablet and when you say yes, it asks where you want to open it.  In the selection of places choose JW Library app.

If you don't see the JW Library as a current choice, go to the "3 dots" for more choices. It should be there.

That way you don't have to try to find the downloaded file in documents, pages ibooks or whatever.  It goes directly to JW Library.

I did that, JWLibrary doesn’t show up. Even in the 3 dots section. I have a 3 year old iPad Pro, updated. I used Chrome. 🤷🏻‍♀️I don’t see JWLibrary as an option from my Files folder either. I must be doing something off. Technically challenged 🙄😏

If you use Safari, click on the button to download the jwpub-file, select Download. In the upper right hand corner you will find a circle with an arrow. Click on it to see your downloads. Select the file you wish to import. When you click in the box with the upwards arrow that appears in the upper right corner, you will get the option to import the file to JW Library.
