Must-Have Apps

Recommended Posts

If you have an Android or iPhone or Kindle or Nook, you're familiar with apps.

What apps have you found that are "must have" for you, regardless of brand or provider?

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

I don't have nook, android or iphone, but I do have a Kindle. I have no idea what you are talking about!

My phone makes phone calls and sends texts. That's all. - Oh, I can set an alarm clock on it, too. I can read books on my Kindle.

bohemiasaurus!

I have an iPhone and an iPad and love the MyTime app to track my service time and calls. For fun and games I like Draw Something and Words With Friends. Others I use frequently are The Weather Channel app, Pandora, Netflix, NearMe or AroundMe are great also, they will help you find just about anything you need either by our location or an address or zip code. Also love the Food Network app for recipes and Pinterest because I'm slightly addicted to that website. Instagram is an app I use for photos.

Now if you looking to do business with apps I recommend JotNot Pro will let you take a pic of a document and sent it like a fax, email, etc and it's like a scanned image of the document/picture. OneNote is also similar to that. SugarSync will allow you to login to your home or office computer from your mobile device. Oh and I can't go without my College Football app and NFL app. :)

1. JWReader - in fact I used to have all the MP3s in a Music folder, but with the lastest update, I am deleteing those and just sticking with the ones in JWReader.

2. To go with JWReader - Adobe Reader &

3. FBReader for ePubs

4. Box - to keep me up to date with iSilo ..

5. iSilo (<img src=)'>

6. GoogleSky Map - the reason I switched from Windows to Android. I am learning soo much about the cosmos. When the new system comes and I don't have GPS / global time pieces (at first) - I will know approximately what time it is and what day of the "month" it is. Just getting ready  ;)

7. iMAME4ALL - the reason i will NEVER go iPad. I love all the old arcade games. Galaga, MoonPatrol, Gorf, Xevious, Pacman (top 5 favorites) - Oh yeah and for the copyright police - of course I actually own the machines :lol1:

8. QQPlayer - this is how I keep up with TV shows

9. Theo School Timer - as I am the School Overseer. You have to keep those students in line :crackwhip: It has just the right sounding BELL.

10. I use OfficeSuite for Word & Excel files and print with

11. PrinterShare - to my wifi-printer at home.

Those are my MUST haves. ;)

iSilo is kind of like Adobe Reader - it allows you to open files that have links in them. There is a group of witnesses that have used it every year for the last 10 years or so to format the Watchtower Library in. On my tablet - when I use it to open the WTLibrary - it looks like this:

I think I found a way to side load apps, including islio onto Nook Tablet without rooting it.

Not that I'm opposed to rooting it, either. One way or another, it will be accomplished.

unfortunately I don't think there is a built-in GPS on the tablet. So no maps, no compass, no MyMinistry ;( Which is fine, because I'm not paying for any service signals. I'll only use free wifi and my home wifi.

Oh! . . now I'm in my (techno) element. :punk:

Has your phone ever made a noise during the meeting? 8-)

Have you missed a call on the way home because you forgot to return it to 'on' after the meeting? X(

Would you like to be able to switch your phone to silent for the next hour (or any time) as a fast select?

Ring Scheduler: CellAvant Inc. The best app on the market for setting up 'Rules' to silence your phone for set times, days and hours.

You can pre-select silent, vibrate, soft, loud . . whatever you need. Meeting times can be set so when you are on your way home, the silent mode has automatically ended and you can hear your friends ring and you never miss that Pizza invite again. (priorities right hey)

There is an iPhone version too.

Does your phone bill often max out $ on calls and text? :boxing:

Would you LOVE to send text and call on cheap ' data rates' ? (eg. text for .03c)

Viber : it is an app that uses data in place of calls and txt charges. Great for text-happy teens.

Have you ever loaded a new app and it ' fries' your phone?

That 'free' photo edit app that causes ' force close' nuisance?

Low Memory warnings tell you to clean out your phone for that new ' must have' app?

The best app remover to use is Easy Uninstaller:

Do you want to clean your phone ' history' quickly (to speed up your stuff) and keep available space on your drive?

Would you like to be able to select what gets cleaned, turn selections on and off as needed? :worship:

History Eraser : EZMob Apps

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.uninstaller&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsIm1vYmkuaW5mb2xpZmUudW5pbnN0YWxsZXIiXQ..

Have you found and used an app that is dynamite and need to share with friends?

Once the app is on your phone and you're loving it you can send a mssg to friends easily to share the link so they get the right one.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.theronrogers.shareapps&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS50aGVyb25yb2dlcnMuc2hhcmVhcHBzIl0.

Cheers all. Enjoy!
