Trouble setting up JW.org account

Recommended Posts

The elders sent me directions on getting a JW.org account. But when I put the security questions in, now it says they're incorrect and blocked me. Trying to reset says wait 24 hours but keeps glitching. Any tips XD

If you use unicode characters (non-latin letters) for the security answers, try enabling “show me answers while inputting.” Of course, make sure you input the correct answer.

I try putting the correct information but keep getting :

Too Many Failed Attempts

For security purposes, account access is temporarily disabled. You can try again in about 15 minutes.

I keep trying. The only thing I can figure out is when I pushed enter, maybe it deleted a letter of something accidentally. Not sure what's going on.

Setting up a JW.org account was one of the most difficult website access exercises I ever experienced- and I've done a million of them.  Maybe it's the built-in security?

Whatever it was, back in 2018, I literally needed my congregation secretary/ remote Bethelite to walk me thru it and pretty much set it up for me- this was for Builder Assistant. Lots of texts/phone calls exchanging usernames, passwords, codes, etc.  We eventually got it and he told me that the troubles I was having were not unusual 🥴  It was a bit frustrating.

Be sure once you're set that you send an email to yourself with your username, password, and security questions.  I was happy I did, because last night I tried logging in and since it was more than a month, I needed all those to get in. 😬

Are you having a problem setting it up or having a problem accessing it after it was set up?

Are you setting up the security questions for the first time or entering the answers you had previously set up?

How long ago did you set up the account? Was it within the last 24 hours?

I set the security questions last night and used them to log in last night around 9:30pm But when I tried to login again a little later with the same security questions, it says they’re incorrect.

Okay, so the answers to your security questions worked once, but didn't work the second time. They are case sensitive, so all I can suggest is that you try later.

I finally managed to reset the security questions, upload info/address/photos, etc. And then when I got to the address part in the actual application, it stuck XD It won't add the address from my profile and won't let submit. Electronics will not stop me, hopefully I'll eventually get this submitted. :D Lol
