I just rewatched episode number 1. Does anyone know why Jesus always appears with a headband? And it seems like only he wears it.

I don't see a headband.  The pictures below cover several episodes.

It was just color grading; they probably cranked it all the way up and smoothed out the movements by recording in high FPS. Considering they’re part of the video ads for GNJ, I guess that’s pretty normal.

I wonder if the video format for the web is compressed to be 'stream efficient.'

These compressed formats might look different. The colors might be rendered different, and pop more. 

I could also be wrong, but the 4k version would be given a lot more attention and refinement.

I got it. The difference in colors could definitely have given that impression.

In my case, what felt a bit odd was the way the heads were moving and Jesus' facial expressions. Also, Peter in the background keeps blinking repeatedly, haha. But as explained, it could simply be the frame rate and playback speed making it look that way.

Based solely on the cover art, it's possible to identify two characters who are not part of the GNJ series.

This is fairly simple visual effect available for the last ~15 years in consumer software.

I had my Convention on the weekend. The Brother who plays The Apostle Andrew was there, and he gave SYMPOSIUM: Applying Lessons From Jesus’ Illustrations the... Wheat and Weeds (Matthew 13:24-30) talk. I was talking to him after and asked which ep they were up to, He said Ep 11.

 

P.S. His parents are in my congregation. His father is my Group overseer.

To me, it looks like Jesus is picking the 12, just from a different angle. There are more than 13 men in that scene. or it could be filmed and taken from ep 7 or ep 8.

I've heard a rumor that Bro "Jesus" is single and had to take a vow to not date for 5 years. I'd love comments on this.

Also, I'd love to see Bro "Andrew" in a suit haha

If the rumor is true: Watch out for the end of filming—when the final clapperboard falls—because that’s when the casting office for contestants will officially open!

 

If that’s the case: since he’s not in his twenties, he’s already proven that he knows how to—and can—wait. So five more years or less—once you reach a certain age, I guess it doesn’t really matter anymore.

 

If that’s the case: the character he plays must inspire him.

 

If that’s the case: it’s truly beautiful to dedicate 7 or 8 years to Jehovah and Jesus in this way.
