People do the strangest things..

Recommended Posts

I use an app called Nextdoor to occasionally see what is going on in the neighborhood. It's usually full of comments about lost cats and old furniture but occasionally something really funny/stupid/crazy gets posted.

Several days ago a woman angrily posted that she "thought she had seen everything until this!"

She said that a neighbor was feeding feral cats and had even dug a 3ft by 6ft hole on city property and filled it with sand so the cats would have a litter box. Angry Neighbor was incensed that she would have to walk past the kitty latrine every day!

Someone posted a response today. They said that the cat loving neighbor was their 73 year old grandmother. They also have video of Angry Neighbor digging up the sand box and dumping it in front of Cat Lovers door. One little problem. The utility company had dug that hole to check a gas pipe and they had to come out, inspect the pipe for damage and refill the hole. The utility company said it was the craziest thing they have ever seen. Cat Lover's granddaughter thinks the utility company has charged Angry Neighbor for the extra work they had to do. Angry Neighbor has removed her original tirade from the Nextdoor app.

Crazy people...:lol1:

Wasn't there something in this week's MWM about acting rashly before hearing or gathering all the details?

Have you seen the movie with Tom Hanks "The Burbs?"

The 'Burbs was loosely inspired by real life events. As noted on The 'Burbs' IMDb page, it's believed that screenwriter Dana Olsen was inspired to write the film by a family in his real-life neighborhood who were rarely seen outside of their house and “never took care of their lawn.”

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)
