A few years ago, in 2013, Brother Anthony Morris announced a special publication specifically targeted for Japanese audience: The Bible—The Gospel According to Matthew. That booklet contained only the Bible Book of Matthew, and in a traditional Japanese writing system.

 

It seems that this may be a new publication to become either a successor or a supplementary material to that book. This new book, Wisdom From the Gospels, is written in quite very similar tone to that old book, and also, the publisher is written as Monominoto Seisho Sasshi Kyokai [ものみの塔聖書冊子協会] — the Japan Branch of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

So if I understand correctly, it was already released in 2013 in Japanese but this new release is the english translation ?

This publication is not a book and not really a brochure.  It has 8 pages including the Title page and an almost blank last page.  There is one publishers page with a brief introductory remarks and the publishing data.  The remaining 5 pages are a simple reprinting of chapters 5-7 of Matthew (with associated footnotes).

 

No pictures, photographs, drawings or illustrations.  It is done in simple printed "black and white".  And currently it is available only in PDF text format.  It seems to be developed for easy translating and simple printing.

As well as the digital edition, it will also be available in printed format. More information on this new publication will be provided at an upcoming midweek meeting.

Wisdom From the Gospels: There are many open-minded people who have not had the opportunity to become familiar with the Bible. Therefore, we are pleased to inform you that a new brochure entitled Wisdom From the Gospels will soon be available in various languages. This eight-page, text-only brochure contains the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5-7). It is primarily for use in language fields with non-Christian populations, but it can be used in other fields as well. The brochure will be made available in print, digital, and audio formats.

I’m surprised “aawoodsusa” was permitted to post a branch announcement prior to it being read at congregation meetings. Makes me wary of this site.

You are right, the moderators do not allow posting announcements before they are made public. In this case, we understood the announcement had already been read in aawoodsusa's congregation. Some congregations have their meetings on Monday or Tuesday.
