Notes' colors not transferring to study pane in Windows 11 JWL

Hi, wondering if anyone has this same problem or a fix for it. 

 

I highlight something in JWL on Windows 11, and then tap it to add a note. On my iPad and iPhone, this causes the note I type to be the same color as the highlight. So in the study pane when I look at notes, I have a variety of red, yellow, purple, etc. notes all down the column on the left. 

 

For some reason, this is not happening on Windows. No matter what color note I select, it's always just a white background. 

 

Strangely, when I go into dark mode, the colors show up! But not in system or white mode. 

 

Another strange thing: when I create a backup and email it to myself, and then open it on my iPad or iPhone, the colored notes are there. But when I restore the same backup on the PC, the notes are colorless. 

 

The highlights themselves are whatever color I choose, but the notes are white.

 

I have tried uninstalling JWL and reinstalling, rebooting PC, all to no avail.

Do you know if it happened to you in Windows 10?  In other words, is it just in Windows 11?

It has happened to me since a few months.  I am still on Win 10 so I thought it was my iPad.  I have had problems w/my computer, bad weather, lightening, etc so I thought that may have something to do w/it.  I am just working thru it.  Sorry you having same problem.

I just tested on win 11, and the colors appear just fin in the right pane running version 13.2.45 (191481), what version of JWL?

It's the most updated version, although I don't know the version number off the top of my head. 

It seems to be random. Sometimes the colors show up after I close it and open it back up, and sometimes it doesn't.
