Stubbornness

STUBBORNESS

His upbringing was simply vital,

but he bullied to prove himself entitled

From meager roots,he grew tall and strong

And believed that he was never wrong.

He could throw around his strength and height

to be the one who was always right.

His wife and sons caved at every turn

To do his will, they had to learn.

Every night and every day, he insisted 'til he got his way.

If his demands made others sad,

he didn't care, yet he was never glad.

His family worked non stop to appease him'

but nothing at all could ever please him

When robustness was getting lost,

he gave more orders to show who's boss.

His wife begged him to see a doctor

A hard no before he blocked her.

Go against him, he'd show his might

and now he proved that he was right, dead right.

The brothers on my shepherding call directed me to an article. It suggests getting one's mind off of 'things.' I told them my activities that de escalate anxiety are solving obscure math problems and that I am a hobby writer. Also an insomniac, I get up sometimes with things (in my head) to write about, but have been avoiding writing recently. I thought I'd write something down b/c they suggested it. We have a number of writers here on TalkNet.

It sounds exactly like my wife's ex-husband to the core.
