There were "shots fired" near Berkey Hall on Michigan State University's East Lansing campus Monday night, police said, and there are "multiple reported injuries" at a second reported shooting at IM East, a fitness center on campus. 
 

"The suspect is believed to be on foot right now," the MSU Police and Public Safety department tweeted. "Community members on and off campus should continue to shelter in place. Police are continuing to respond."

Police said they believe there is only one suspect at this time, and that IM East "is being secured."

Listening to police scanner they said there were potentially 3 shooters. Reports being made, but at times have been proved false by law enforcement checking that particular area. Sometimes calls come in saying they’ve seen people with guns…turns out to be police. 
 

This may be downstate Michigan, but we’ve got a university about 40-45 miles from where Ross and I live. So it is a little too close to home.

Bring back the zoom lectures. Schools are already dangerous.

Back in the days, I use to hang out there around  2 or 3 in the morning then get a lecture about it the next day at the Assembly. I guess Jehovah was up too and chewed us out.

Turns out there was only 1 shooter

 

With so much going on, everyone scared out of their wits, darkness, cops with rifles that some panic and think they are a shooter.

Leaders from around Michigan are reacting following a deadly mass shooting at Michigan State University. 

As of 1 a.m. Tuesday, three people are dead and five more are injured from the shooting, which happened at two locations on the MSU campus.

 

The suspected shooter died later in the night from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police confirmed around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.
