Everything, including the CLM schedule is working for us. No issues to report at this point.

Yes, same for me, I’m missing quite a few public talks also and duties, weekend assignments, and territories are all blank

We updated to them n new version 8. But we need now to change server. Does this mean that every publisher needs to change their region? We are currently in the old region. I tried to install the publisher app and it does not work since that have just the new regions, not the old ones. We have many who needs assistance with changing it.

If we make changes in NWS 8, does those who have 3.9.0 see it or just the ones with older appnor both?

When I enter our 9 digit Congregation ID number into NWS Mobile, it says the congregation doesn't exist.

NWS has 2 different numbers for each congreegation. Since the 9 digit number didn't work you can find the other number this way

On the left menu bar click Congregation.
Then click Congrgation Information.

Underneath the name of your congregtion there will be another 6 or 8 digit number that should work.

The congregation does not need to reconnect to NWP. The region you're referring to in NWS is for 'Congregation Sharing' in NWS only, not NW Publisher.

So, can't edit the Watchtower Reader or Public Talk chairman.  The fields where the names are are blank.

Can't find any way to contact NW Scheduler support to open a ticket or request help or report the problem.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Shawnster, did you find a solution for this issue?

So one of our MS is having an issue connecting from his home internet as a "Shared Person' He had it before and it was a simple download of software for him. But now he can only connect to the congregation using his phone hotspot. This seems to be working fine. However, when he goes back on his home internet he gets the following messages.

Any idea what is causing the issue?

He is likely using a DNS server on his PC that is restricting him from connecting to the IP addresses used by NWS. The phone is likely using the DNS server configured by his wireless carrier. A PC can set the DNS through Windows or through the router. Windows DNS sometimes overrides the router DNS. Have him choose 8.8.8.8 and 6.6.6.6. These allow virtually everything.

Sounds like a very smart answer. 😃Thanks I will let him know. Sounds Latin to me. 😁

Everything was fine before the update and this was his response:

My dns are as follows. Being as I work from home, I do have an internal DNS server that points to: 9.9.9.9 4.2.2.1 4.2.2.2 4.2.2.4 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 I do not believe that DNS is the issue. I believe it is an issue on my firewall what ports are needed at this point for the application to work anything outbound is also allowed inbound for example 443 80 53 8080 Etc……

But when you login on the app you need to choose Region? Do you mean that they do not have to be change it at all?

If it were a firewall issue then likely the same would happen with his hotspot. To test have him temporarily turn off his firewall.

The screenshot you shared indicates its a DNS issue.

Click here https://nwscheduler.com/how-to/congregation-sharing/congregation-sharing-data-or-syncing-problems/

Scroll down to I am receiving the message 'Sorry, your internet connection has a problem'

Its possible he has a VPN since he works from home. Its possible his VPN is turned on for his home internet and not for his hotspot. Using a VPN for work means he would be using his company internet at that point and they might have restrictions. Yes I know it was working before but now he is connecting to a different sharing server which could be restricted by his company.

Turn off the firewall and turn off the VPN and check it.

Nice. Do you know, can we restrict which brothers can use the mobile? Or is it once enabled they all can? tyia

Only those brothers with shared access will be able to sign into the mobile app. And I believe the same access as the desktop will apply.

Yes. I downloaded the app on my Android table and I had to authenticate with a code sent to my e-mail I use in the shared congregation access. As Admin/elder, from it I can do almost everything I'd do in the desktop app.

Publishers may not have access to the Mobile app. For them is the NW Publisher app.
