It said that only 1% of the world's population has access to clean air. That BLEW MY MIND!!!

I had to go looking - really? And who is the 1%?

Almost the entire global population (99%) breathes air that exceeds WHO air quality limits, and threatens their health. A record number of over 6000 cities in 117 countries are now monitoring air quality, but the people living in them are still breathing unhealthy levels of fine particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide, with people in low and middle-income countries suffering the highest exposures.

WOW!!! This is right now today! - not projected 30 years from now.

And water?

Quote

A new report launched Tuesday on the eve of the first major U.N. conference on water in over 45 years says 26% of the world's population doesn't have access to safe drinking water and 46% lack access to basic sanitation.

The U.N. World Water Development Report 2023 painted a stark picture of the huge gap that needs to be filled to meet U.N. goals to ensure all people have access to clean water and sanitation by 2030.

I also found these 1% interesting

about the waves, the seabed, the ecosystem beneath the waves, and clean waves on beaches

I give glory to Jehovah!

What a wonderful filter even the clean beach water comes through!

People living in just six countries in Asia and Africa are bearing the brunt of global air pollution, knocking up to eight years off their lives, according to ...
