When death surprises us, where would you like your remains to be?

Recommended Posts

I am from Mexico and I can tell you that, in Jalisco the customs understand a difference between the Pantheon and the Cemetery. In the Pantheon, according to them, the Catholic people who had died under the sacraments were buried. And in El Cementerio they buried people who were not Catholics but rather were foreigners and who had not died under the sacraments. I personally wish to be cremated and have my ashes placed in the roots of a young tree at home (Genesis 3:19).

The spirit of this virtual space is plural. -- (Gal 6:18) says: "may the undeserved kindness of Jesus be with the spirit you show".

My wish is to be cremated, and my remains sprinkled in the lake that I grew up living beside. My older daughter that died was sprinkled there too. It is also my wish that no one see my body unless it has to be identified and whether or not there is a memorial talk given, is up to my youngest daughter.  No memorial talk is beginning to be a regular occurrence here.

If I am dead, how will I be surprised? The dead know nothing. I understand what you are saying. My wife and I have already picked out our grave. We bought it after her youngest daughter died. It can hold up to 4 urns. I will be cremated, no service and then wait to be resurrected. The resurrection will be the surprise I would want.

That’s what I told my wife. She asked if I wanted to be cremated or buried? I said "surprise me.” :lol1:
