Tablets - Love Them or Hate Them

Recommended Posts

I am using my iPad Air 2 , 64Gb, which I had from new. I am finding that, when I try to write comments on the Watchtower or midweek LMM Workbook it freezes up and takes an age to get back to  working on text.

Is it because the tablet is now unsupported, is it built in obsolescence or something else?

Does anyone have any ideas, or do I need to purchase a new one?

I know nothing about iPads, much less about older ones. But since you mentioned it, I looked it up and found... it's been around since 2014, and received an update this past September. But it's not the latest iPadOS. It's considered vintage.

To me, it looks to be quite on the old side. My opinion (which you should take with a grain of salt): look for a new one.

I had an elderly sister ask for help with her iPad.  NWPublisher would crash on her iPad.  Found out it was stuck on ios12 and wouldn't update.  Because of the outdated iOS version it just wouldn't work.  We had to get it going on her phone.  You may be having a similar problem with JWLibrary

Thanks for your kind thoughts, brothers. I don't have a compatibility issue, so it seems that for these intermittent problems, I just have to hang on for a bit. The new iPads should be out in the Spring, so I might wait until then. Maybe, just maybe, revert to hard copy??

If you have decent internet speed, can you just delete the JW Library app and reinstall it from scratch?  It is drastic but better than shelving the device.

Yeah. I heard that Adam had an Apple. But it wasn't very up to date. He only had one byte.

He voided the warranty when he installed a second byte without approval from the manufacturer.
