have to believe things like that are faked for entertainment (or conspiracy) purposes.  I cannot believe anyone would be that dumb....

But I've been known to be wrong at times.  :whistling:

I think some people like to test the limits of stupidity and some people fail the test..

Yes, people believe it.  My boss wanted to put a piece of metal up against my arm to see if it would stick.  I let him.  It fell to the floor.  But he thought sure that it would stick since I had gotten a vaccine. 🤪

Dance. Even if there's no music.

So, if everyone on the planet was vaccinated, would it pull airplanes out of the sky? Knock satellites out of orbit? Pull refrigerators and cars out of people's homes? I'm afraid to get near the knife drawer in the kitchen..:lol1:

Opps. Never mind. I discovered some inappropriate language in the link I attached to support my comment.

Starlink Vote Rigging Allegations: Some theories claim that Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites were used to manipulate voting machines in favor of President-elect Donald Trump. These assertions have been debunked by election officials, who confirm that voting machines are not connected to the internet, rendering such interference impossible.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: Appointed to head the Department of Health and Human Services, Kennedy has a history of promoting baseless theories, including claims that the government planned the COVID-19 pandemic. His appointment has raised concerns among health experts about the potential impact on public health policy. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/story/rfk-jr-told-a-bunch-of-people-the-government-may-have-plannedandnbspcovid

Do conspiracy theories ever conflict with each other?

Has there ever been a conflict where one theory has to be true for the other theory to be false?

Yeah there's loads. The conspiracy theories around COVID-19 are a perfect example.

Broadly speaking the theories sit in one of 2 categories - either Germ theory based or Terrain theory based.

Either:

There was a deadly, genetically altered virus released from Wuhan needing a swift scientific response... just not the vaccines because they are a badly executed money grab made by corrupt governments and in fact they are killing off the sickly and reducing fertility, instead 'our protocols' should have been followed. The government and all its agents are hiding this information from you. We must fight back against the corruption, nobody is coming to save us..according to the germ theory conspiracy theorists

or

There was no deadly contagious virus because viruses aren't a problem if your body is healthy and so global pandemics are a myth. It was all a psy op where the common cold and flu illnesses of the season that take hold of already unhealthy individuals were used against the population. Dangerous treatment protocols in hospitals were implemented off the back of spurious, manipulated testing that hastened the death of the patient and then the terrifying manipulated statistics that resulted from these medical protocols were used to compel people to accept the roll out of the vaccine which is in fact a deadly bio weapon, which has been engineered to kill off the sickly over the next few years and also to reduce fertility in a bid to reduce population. We must fight back against the evil orchestrators. Nobody is coming to save us...according to the terrain theory conspiracy theorists.

If one is true the other is false and vice versa.

If the terrain gang are right then the germ theory gang are completely wrong coz...no deadly virus, if the germ theory gang are right then the terrain theory gang are completely wrong coz...no psy op.

Various doctors slog it out in these two outlooks all the time. If you're interested look up Dr Peter McCullough and Dr Mike Yeadon, they are the two ends of the spectrum.

Interestingly reading the bible can give a wonderful perspective of both theories, disproving them both in their pure forms and at the same time give some credence to certain aspects of the theories when examined in the context of our "wonderfully made" bodies and "the ruler of the system of things" pulling the strings of the scene of the world.

These points are great starting places for witnessing to conspiracy theorists, who are almost always people disillusioned by the system and searching for answers.

They are also usually jolly glad to hear that someone is, indeed, coming to save us - contrary to the belief of both camps.

That's interesting. It shows there is at least some truth in a conspiracy theory, and it can't be dismissed as completely wrong. It's that grain of truth that makes the theory plausible and keeps it alive.

It makes me think of a pearl. A small grain of truth becomes an irritant, so people put layer after layer of their truth over it until their truths create something that is more valuable to everyone then the grain of truth that was buried. I can see why so many people are attracted to conspiracy theories.

Indeed. Many times the "what" or "how" is valid, but the "why" is what is so crazy and makes the whole thing bonkers.

Another example is with toothpaste.  Flouride is poisonous....every toothpaste tube carries a WARNING that if swallowed, call poison control.

The conspiracy theory around it has merit....your body does absorb some through the gums, no matter how much you spit.  And we regularly flouridate our water, yet we're supposed to spit out the toothpaste???  That right there makes you scratch your head...

Then, when you look at how effective flouride is....25%.  So you're telling me instead of getting 4 cavities, I get 3?  Whoop-dee-doo!!  What a big deal!

Then comes the crazy conspiracy: They know it's junk and are putting it in our water on purpose to make us dumb so we're easy to control.

Everything was true and logical reasoning....up to that last point.  And that's what makes them crazy and dangerous because it makes you mad at the government and not trustful of professionals (like doctors).

The apostle John gave this advice:

”Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world” - 1 John 4:1.

The Research Guide for this scripture says:

“He then went on to show that God’s true inspired expressions were coming through the genuine Christian congregation, not through unchristian worldly sources. John’s statement was, of course, inspired by Jehovah God, but even aside from this, John’s letter had laid a solid foundation for making the straightforward statement: “He that gains the knowledge of God listens to us; he that does not originate with God does not listen to us. This is how we take note of the inspired expression of truth and the inspired expression of error.” (1Jo 4:6)”

It all very good to take notice of elements of Satan’s system that are fulfilling Revelation. But we need to make absolutely sure we are not making our own assumptions and conclusions. We need to wait until those who Jehovah has authorised, the faithful and discreet slave, has given us Jehovah’s direction.

If we choose “not to listen” to directions that the slave gives (and we saw that recently during the pandemic), but make our own determination that this or that information from government sources is demonic/wild beast driven propaganda, are we not treading on dangerous ground?

There is a big difference between our personal choice, our conscience, and obedience to authority. We can’t, for instance, decide that our conscience won’t allow us to follow a government law, or a ruling passed from the UN and filtered down through our government to enact, because of Rom 13:1-7. Until Jehovah acts against all rulerships, including the UN, we obey the superior authorities, barring conflict with God’s law.

I write this to add some balance and thought from God's Word. We need a clear head, absolutely focused on the only thing Jehovah commands we do - preaching God’s Kingdom. Overly delving into UN overlording, conspiracies and chafing under government mandates will be detrimental. Leave that to our faithful brothers who will tell us in due time. We all wait for the fulfilment of all these prophecies in Revelation, for Jehovah’s name to be sanctified and vindicated

How can we identify if the source is coming from Jehovah? The Research guide just mentioned continues: Far from being mere dogmatism, John had shown that he and other true Christians were manifesting the fruits of God’s spirit, primarily love, and were proving by their right conduct and truthful speech that they were indeed “walking in the light” in union with God.—1Jo 1:5-7; 2:3-6, 9-11, 15-17, 29; 3:1, 2, 6, 9-18, 23, 24; contrast Tit 1:16.

I need to vent for a minute. I just heard an unsubstantiated rumor that an attack was being planned on US soil to justify going to war with Iran. (Again, unsubstantiated, but this seemed like the place to mention it.) I'm not saying I believe it's going to happen, it just makes me sad to think of prior attacks that "justified" going to war and how many lives were lost (Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, 9/11). I believe we are in WWIII right now, but it can always get worse. 😢

I guess part of me is hoping that even if some sort of attack does happen that somehow the American people won't "take the bait" like they did in the first 2 world wars. I know this system is supposed to get worse, but war is so tragic on its own that when you add deception into the mix to justify starting one it makes me sick to think of all the suffering that could have been avoided. Maybe I'm expecting too much from Satan's system.

Thanks for the vent. Time to focus on the solution of God's Kingdom and my spiritual routine. 🛟

99% of the things we worry about never happen. 😉 Let's just take it 1 day at a time like Jesus advised.
