How to save website before it’s deleted

Recommended Posts

Many years ago (when I was mainly using Android devices) I used an app that would do this.  I copied the JW.ORG website and stored it on my tablet.  It would copy about 3 levels down.  Our territory had poor internet connection and I wanted to show people at the door what the website looked like and how to use it to find things.  It worked pretty good, even when I had no internet at their door-step.

I don't remember the app and I have mostly settled on Windows 11 and Ipad-IOS for my operating systems.

Both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge support CTL + S.

Pressing the CTL key and S at the same time brings up a "Save webpage" dialog.

This saves the entire webpage on your PC depending on where you save it. Pay close attention on the folder location.

CTL + O - Pressing CTL key and O at the same time will bring up a "Open Webpage" dialog. There you can open the HTML file. There is a folder with a similar name to the webpage you just saved. That folder contains data for opening the HTML file.

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
