Noah's Ark II - Spaceflight?

If, sometime in the future, Jehovah gave humans the permission and responsibility to transfer a range of living things to another world that had been identified as habitable, what species might be included.

If you had been given a part of that assignment:

- how would you expect this new Ark to be configured?

- what would you put on your essential list of species?

- what skillset would you expect the humans who travelled with you need?

What might be the issues?

I would expect that, if Jehovah were to assign us to travel to another planet to "subdue" it, it would come with its own diversity of plants and animals and we would not need to bring what could be termed as invasive species from this planet.

However, if it was of a similar classification, and it was by a clear directive, then there may be some species that would transfer, including humans.  Only a thought.

Humans, yes - we are the only species of humanoids Jehovah created and I do not expect him to create any others - however, he created a vast plethora of animal and plant species on this planet, so I could see him populating each livable planet with a thriving ecosystem complete with plants and animals suited for that planet - so I could see us maybe being allowed to bring a pet with us, but I do not see us needing a space ark to populate another planet with earth creatures.

Probably true, John.  We do not know whether Jehovah will choose to recreate any of the extinct species that lived on earth before, especially some that have ceased to exist recently. Quite apart from what happens after the the final test, when a new creative week may well begin.

Interesting thought experience.

Like Qapla, I would expect us to settle in a Planet that already has life on it. That's part of the ecosystem.

Now, let's say we are invited to do so in a planet without (many) animals, maybe I'd bring insects like ants and bees to help with pollination and small scale cleaning.
+ the usual cow/sheep style farm animals
+ some large animals for work, so elephants.

Birds ? crows are clever.

I don't know about the sea.

Specialists of each of these animals species, with decades/centuries of experiences :D

Knowing Jehovah and his limitless imagination I would expect new planet to have already big variety of different flora and fauna, including animals etc

So probably the list would be short ... 2000 - 5000 species (This could rise eyes by saying .. hey Greg that's not a short list, well then please research numbers of various insects, animals etc.... )

Just simple example: There are roughly 19,000 butterfly species in the world.
