Rapid recovery from MAJOR depression????

Recommended Posts

So I'm just learning how 125 - 300mg of magnesium (as glycinate and taurinate) per meal reversed MAJOR depression in just 7 DAYS?

Magnesium deficiency causes neuronal damage that can manifest as depression and over 50% of people are deficient. Magnesium is incredibly cheap and has little to no side effects.

And this is from a .GOV site!!!

Years ago I went for almost a week where I could not sleep. Like at all.
My naturopathic doctor recommended a couple large doses of magnesium and then maintenance.  I slept the first night after my large dose. It was bliss!!!

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

Never knew of magnesium’s benefits. Sounds like it is really helpful for those suffering from depression.

Speaking of supplements, has anyone heard of GABA? I tried it only once as a sample from a local, small supplement business. I had a restful, uninterrupted sleep that night. My normal sleep is usually disturbed because my intense anxiety affects it; I tend to wake up every 2-3 hours, fall back asleep, and wake up another 2-3 hours later.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)

I had to look that up.  I had never heard of it.  My wife and I have been taking Magnesium regularly.  She clams it helps her sleep.  I am not sure.  I have taken it and had trouble sleeping, and other days I didn't take it and slept just fine.  Never knew anything about it helping with depression.

Hard for me to concentrate at times.   Being in severe pain causes some depression also.

IF your pain is muscular in nature, magnesium oil can help sooth them.  Works like a charm!  But again, depends on the source of your pain.

I know alcohol affects your GABA.  And I vaguely remember isn't not something you wanna mess with too much.  Throwing your body out of balance with GABA is really bad (if I'm remembering right).

If you're having trouble sleeping at night, you can try:

  1. True Dark glasses 1 hour before bed.  Makes me tired for sure!  Blocking blue light will get you sleepy fast...
  2. Melatonin (small doses only!  More than 2mg can have the opposite effect)
  3. Reading a book before bed
  4. Don't eat anything less than 3 hours before bed time!  The spike in your insulin will keep you up...

There are various causes for my pain.  I have migraine headaches a lot.  They are less now since I found out what was happening.  I thought my migraines had stopped years ago.  A neurologist told me that the symptoms of a migraine could change.  The new symptoms were mimicking the symptoms of a stroke.  I have since changed my diet, so the migraines were less severe and less frequent.

I have leg pain all the time. Being in bed at night often makes them worse.  I don't take pain pills much because my past experience indicates they are not very effective.  I sometimes take one out of desperation when the pain is really severe. I had some tests, and the doctor said it was due to pinched nerves in my back.  I went to physical therapy and learned some exercises I can do to help with the pinched nerve.  Part of the problem is bone growth on my spine pinching the nerves.  Spondylitis, Spondylosis, Spinal Stenosis.   All of these terms have been tossed around a lot.  I can't do much about those conditions, but I can improve my flexibility and ease my leg pain that way.

I have back problems which the magnesium might help.
