Road Trip - Orlando, Fl to Richmond,VA

Recommended Posts

I’m planning a road trip from Orlando to Richmond, Virginia. I’m excited to check out some spots further north. Virginia looks beautiful, and I’m definitely missing the mountains! 😁

While not certain on dates yet, I’m planning to take the trip within the next few weeks, possibly even this coming week, but if not, soon after.

Just wanted to throw this out there, see if anyone has any recommendations for places to stop along the way or tips, I’d love to hear them. I’ll be visiting Kingdom Halls for meetings throughout the week and hope to connect with as many friends as possible. Also, if anyone’s up for hanging out along the route or in Virginia, hit me up!

Unfortunately, I don´t have any reccomandations, but I would highly appreciate it if you would share your experiences after that trip (or even during the trip, if you want to). I´m always interested in getting to know different places. Let us be part of your trip, if possible, please 😉

Jekyll Island in Georgia is a fantastic spot. A really cool driftwood beach.

There’s an assembly hall in Orangeburg SC that is fairly new. Although since you seem to be traveling 95 that is off your path.

Charleston is always a good choice for historic ambiance.

There’s a distillery owned by a witness couple in Wilmington NC called End of Days. They have a cocktail bar at the distillery.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

This is a tourism site for Richmond. It has different categories, like food/museums/family etc. I was going to recommend a gem festival, but it looks like it will end before you leave. 😢

Super. Thanks kindly for the recommendation. The festival sounds interesting. I like to keep a list of must see events and places so I will for sure add this. Checking out the tourism site too. 🤙🏻

Jekyll Island does look like a fantastic spot. Looks like it would be great all year round but particularly warmer weather, possibly even paddle boarding.

I will have to map the assembly hall, it would be cool to see it even if just driving by. I did visit Charleston a few years back, beautiful town and area.

But for sure, really like the End of Days distillery suggestion. It sounds tremendous. Definitely putting that on my must visit list. 😁. Thanks 🙏

Most likely you will be traveling on I95 ... however, if you decide to take an alternate route home (like in the map below) and come through Gainesville on I75, I would try to meet you for lunch or dinner.
