What happens after enjoy life forever?

Recommended Posts

I have a Bible study that only has 6 lessons left to study in "Enjoy life forever." The student wants to get baptized, but due to some unresolved family issues, he is not qualified and feels like he is not able to. Whenwe finish the publication, what then? I jokingly told him I'd push him out of the nest like a baby eagle and he better fly. LOL. But as I understand it, there is no second publication so that ends our study.

Yes, the ELF book has replaced the bible teach and God's love books. So that's the end of the study.

I studied many books before i got baptized. (From I was 12 till I was 17. No parents in the truth. Started with the Paradise-book)

I wish someone had studied the Organized-book with me.

Is there study material in the web-library that could help clarify his issues? (wol) Or motivate him to become able to be qualified for baptism?

I read the following the other day: When people say they don't want to change, what they really mean is they don't have an incentive to change. Change/Strenghten the incentives and the behaviour follows suit. (Maybe I misread the problem. Sorry!)

Are there other topics he is interested in that he could delve into on wol?

And how is his bible reading and prayer routine?

Is he qualified to be an unbaptized publisher? Or is it the same situation that prevents that too?

Don't let go of him!

It is all Jehovah now...there has been adequate time to learn the core beliefs and now learn to apply with Jehovah's guidance and continued help from the friends and congregation. A student driver learns road rules and safe navigation with a view that after the test (baptism), they will be able to be on their own. Who continues to drive with an instructor at their side once they obtain their license? I want to go to the store but my instructor is busy till Thursday...no you look forward to being on your own. It is such a a rewarding feeling to see the way Jehovah cares for us.

Heya Leslie, yes I had a study, we went to the beginning of part 4, and she wasn't giving up smoking or coming to meetings and the last part was really talking about those who qualified as unbaptized publishers,  and wasn't putting an effort in, so I had to stop the study. I was very sad, but I knew too if Jehovah was drawing her, I'd see more effort. The elders agreed with my decision, I still call on her, but still not wanting to take it further. Loved your post.

That's so complicated when we have a student who do not want to apply the Truth.

Thanks, everyone.

@Dages That's the tough part, they've applied the truth, quit smoking, changed habits, language, etc, he attends 90% of meetings, assemblies, and conventions, comments at times, and does bible readings, but this family situation is holding them back and he realizes that.

I have always said to myself that for one reason or another, if a person does not progress to baptism, the question to ask is why they seem to resist the holy spirit, and how can we help them understand the role that the holy spirit may play in their decision? Has the person fully understood that Jehovah wants and can help him, but still must accept and validate his direction and the action of his spirit?

This man is undoubtedly adorable and endearing, he ticks all the boxes that make someone possible to become a JW, but is he really praying for help from Jehovah?

Or maybe Jehovah knows that he is not yet ready, that it is not yet the time for him, and therefore he does not push him to action, I don't know.

What is certain: it is a question of heart and faith and in this register, we can do nothing more for this person apart from accepting the obvious: it is up to them to choose.

It’s beautiful and touching to read your concern, dear Brother. Everything is in the gentle hands of Jehovah the potter, it is up to this kind man to be the clay that allows itself to be shaped.

The last goal (lesson 60) suggest studying on your own books Draw closer and be my follower. You might tell him that after the Bible study with a teacher, he’s responsible for his study. He can start either cl book, it can even move him to make progress.

Now, I’m not sure I understood what kind of issue is holding him back. Is it something he can or can’t control? If the former he needs more faith ands trusting Jehovah, if the latter he needs more endurance and wisdom (because there’s always a way).

agree... It takes so much work to find a sheep out of the world and bring them into Jehovah's organization. do not let him go

Organized, book draw close book, imitate their faith... SO many great pubs

We had a study that went through the 2 books about 5 years ago yet still was not ready to get baptized.

due to clinging to a few worldly behaviors, yet wanted desperately to continue the study,

we continued  to study with her...  We prepared questions, She did the research on these then we would discuss it Together

   topics like:

                        Jehovah/ Jesus Christ/ Holy Spirit

                       Prayer/ prayers in the bible

the 9 Fruitage of the spirit

                       maintaining the New personality

                      Preparing for/ commenting at meetings

                        Fulfillment of bible prophecies

Happily , she progressed to baptism in july 2023,  Progressing beautifully in the truth. and is currently aux pio

Have you discussed his situation with your local elders ?

At that time those who fear Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion,

and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening..." ~ Malachi 3:16

Encourage him to keep coming to meetings! And to do his own study and research on jw.org. At every opportunity, let him know how much you appreciate him and value him as a person and a friend. While there is still time, there's hope.❤️

....Those who seek Jehovah can understand EVERYTHING......Proverbs 28:5. (The possibilities are endless!)
