UK Street Preaching Ban

Recommended Posts

As for cartwork, it doesn't look to me as though it would be affected. Normally, with the carts, the brothers and sisters do not engage passersby in conversation or even speak to them. So how could the presence of a cart be interpreted as "preaching?" The article says:

Quote

. . . the council aims to tackle hostile and nuisance behaviour but made clear that defendants would be still be allowed to place written material on a stand or on the floor for others to take with them.

Anyway, reading the article makes me think it's aimed at troublemakers rather than us.

These are the kind of restrictions misinterpreted and abused by those who want to make trouble for us. Good thatJehovah has provide astute brothers in our legal teams. Eph.4:8

It seems the law is not aimed at Christians who peacefully stay by their carts, and probably not even to those who respectfully approach someone on the street. Rather it's addressed to those extremely noisy individuals from Christendom sects who preach with loudspeakers and shout and make a show in the street. I find those very annoying.

There is a spot where we had to stop cart witnessing because at certain hours these people took over the street and we didn't want the neighbors to think we were related to them in any way.

We had similar a few months ago, we set up the carts in our usual place and a group of people had a megaphone and were shouting about how gay people are the cause of the flooding our town had because god was trying to wash the area clean….

safe to say we packed up quickly and got outta there so members of the public didn’t think we were with them

What about Christendom churches disturbing the neighborhood with their loud worship and noisy prayers during night vigils?

Do you guys experience this one too in the UK.

Sometimes ago In Lagos Nigeria, the state government had to literally lock up some churches and mosques because of noisy worship.
