For example, for a time the Broadcasting service aired programs on different platforms 24 hours a day. Later it was discontinued and became part of jw.org.

That last post, in and of itself, fully justifies the pilot project: providing real-time information (breaking news June 4, 2026) through a channel that isn’t as restricted as JW.org. With their immediacy and global reach, social media platforms can make a real difference in raising awareness about how our brothers and sisters are being persecuted around the world simply because they refuse to renounce Jehovah and turn their backs on him. At the same time, we explain who we really are: the neighbor, the classmate, the local doctor, the journalist we might see on TV... May Jehovah therefore bless this project so that it may endure if that is His will!

I just logged into Instagram and we're already at jw_pressrom with 666,000 followers

I’ve been using socialblade.com to track both of the official accounts. It shows how many followers are added each day, and lots of other statistics.

We are now at 700K followers on Instagram and almost 120K followers on TikTok.

The JW Pressroom verified badge is back on Instagram, but we’re still waiting for the same verified badge to appear on TikTok. It seems getting verified on TikTok takes longer and has tougher requirements compared to Instagram.

 

On the bright side, reporting fake accounts is now easier than ever due to impersonation protection the official account have.

For those who may not be aware, updates and improvements have been made to the previously published article on JWPUBS about how to identify the official JW Pressroom accounts. It is now available in 15 different languages.

 

The article is updated as needed based on changes to platform algorithms and account activity. Since platform algorithms continue to evolve and various fake or impersonation accounts have been appearing, the article is also updated to warn readers about accounts that were not established by the organization.

The latest social post seems to link to an article on JW.org that is not even listed in the What’s New section of our website 😳

(and therefore not in the RSS feed!)

 

I thought they specifically told us to keep using jw.org — but now JW.org is falling behind the social posts?
