2027 International Convention dates

Recommended Posts

Friends! My branch was invited to Marseille, France; Denver, United States; Lima, Peru; London; and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Where do you think I have the best chance of being accepted? It would be my first international assembly, and I really want to go. I’m from Mexico ❤️

Do you guys think Marseille is in really high demand? I have Denver, Marseille, Spain, Peru, and the UK, but I’m not sure which one is the least likely option.

All these dated are from S-151 Instructions for Applying to Attend an International Convention. The one in blue merely indicates this city holds an international convention for the first time. But I may be wrong.

Generally speaking The further the destination the fewer candidates will apply because it’s more expensive. For example, for Polish branch everyone who applied to Milwaukee got in but for Hamburg there were a lot who weren’t selected.

So a fun little fact for the Cardiff Convention… some of the images are of brothers and sisters in our congregation. When the pics were taken they had no idea they’d be used for the convention info page!

the 1st pic is our Service Overseer and his son on the ministry in Brecon IMG_9271.thumb.jpeg.148bdbfe1623a351a4e3d333e36d9a53.jpeg

and the 2nd is a group of our pioneers on a walk last spring IMG_9272.thumb.jpeg.b68c83bd818bae38bb13050bfb01b5d9.jpeg

interestingly, 15 of the 21 conventions run just from beginning of July through August 22 (seven weekends), with only one “gap” weekend during that time in which there is no scheduled int’l convention:

  • July 2–4: 2 conventions — Australia, Türkiye
  • July 9–11: 3 — Italy, Spain, Moldova
  • July 16–18: 2 — France (Réunion), Zambia
  • July 23–25: 1 — UK (Cardiff)
  • July 30-Aug 1: none
  • August 6–8: 2 — France (Strasbourg), Ghana
  • August 13–15: 2 — UK (London), Greece
  • August 20–22: 3 — Côte d’Ivoire, France (Marseille), USA (Seattle)

This year, we were in Poland ♥ (a group of 6)

It was a short trip with a flight of 1 hour and 15 minutes

That's so lovely. There are four people I'd love to meet in person in Wales - besides you, of course. It's been on my list for some time- what a treat it would be!

So I got a call this morning from friends who live on Gold Coast which is around an hour from Brisbane.  They are involved in Convention arrangements.  They asked would we like to help as volunteers.  A big YES.  So they are booking our accommodation with themselves for the Tuesday before until the Tuesday after.  So excited already.  They had the full announcement at their meeting last night along with many key brothers involved in the organising.  Woo Hoo Brisvegas here we come.🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

▪️ May 28—May 30, 2027
▪️ Historical events: July 10–July 12, 1903 — General Convention, Denver, Colorado — Thirty-six availed themselves of the opportunity offered and symbolized their burial into Christ’s death by immersion in water (Zion’s Watch Tower and Herald of Christ’s Presence, October 1, 1903, pp. 373–374, “1903—General Conventions Report—1903,” “THE DENVER CONVENTION.”);
