It's a shame. I think there should be a rule that those who have attended an international convention in the last five years shouldn't be allowed to apply, so that people who have never attended get a chance. I've heard many people say that the selection process is random.

We're in the same situation. I show as not selected for all four, and Peru is my only option left. Do you think there's still hope? 👀

I wish there was a database on the application site that allowed one to join a group in need of more people. Unfortunately, things tend to be about who you know, eh?

My personal experience is that statement is not correct. Last year many in our congregation turn in applications. The two Special Pioneers that spent many years at Bethel, were not accepted. I don't know what the selection process is and who makes the final decisions, but it seems unlikely they would know all the applicants that are selected.

No.. I meant that if you know people in other states that invite you to join their group, you have the chance to go with them.

 

I do not know friends in other states who are applying to go that will invite me to join them. That's why I'd love a database that might help groups be formed.

This.  I met a sister on an LDC project last year who said she's been to eight ICs!  I actually said, "Man - stop and give someone else a chance!" 😕

It's possible; as long as the status doesn't change, anything could happen. In my case, I already applied last year—with only one preference—and I wasn't selected. Honestly, I've been nervous and excited ever since I filled out the application. 😅

I read that it might be held at the same stadium as the previous international convention. It has a capacity of 66,000 people. I want to believe they're taking so long because they're still sending out invitations, or maybe that's just wishful thinking 🤣 What's your theory?
