I was tickled at one of the commenter's on YouTube. "How do NASA get so close to the sun?! I mean, I thought that anything that went near it was burnt by the gas?"

I guess the young poster thought NASA only flew spacecraft. Thanks for posting!

Here's a little info on how close a probe can get to the sun...

The deep-space probe Helios 2 has flown closer to the sun than any other spacecraft; it made it 32 million miles from the sun's center. But a team of NASA scientists have designed a spacecraft that can survive at a distance eight times closer than that.

We are 93 million miles from the sun....the new probe can go to within 4 million miles of the sun..
