The only anointing that's ever happened to me was by coffee, and it was due to the fact I drove over a speed bump too fast and I got splashed.... :P

There were a few questions I had to read/re-read and then make the selection, because they weren't 100% clear/definitive.

I am surprised. I do respect Orthodox Judaism to a degree, but I think that a few of the questions

are misleading.

The one about strictly following the traditions, and precepts and what not of the faith is probably

what brought Judaism above being one of Jehovah's Witnesses. But it does not qualify that by

acknowledging that the precepts followed are entirely based on the Bible rather than human

tradition passed down, as OJ follows. Same with Mormons and Islam - these do not see

the Bible as the ultimate authority.

I also wonder about the question saying that the environment or nature must be "revered".

Kind of sounds like native American or African animism; though we can learn about Jehovah

through his creation, and we should safeguard it, I don't think it should be revered like

Jehovah's name (Ps 111:9, King James)

I suppose one must recognize that this quiz is man made - and really doesn't recognize all

of the fundamental differences in certain religious faiths.

I got Orthodox Judaism as well. What surprises me is how many of us get told we should be Muslims more than Christians, but it is because many of the questions come down to perceptions and misconceptions people have about various religions. For example I said we don't need to do works to earn salvation - which is probably why "Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant" came up, but it surprises me that Islam is ahead of both us and the Protestant thingy because what I said I agree with disagrees with much of what I have read in Muslim documents (e.g. the Qu'ran and the Hadiths). For starters they believe that works are essential - the 5 pillars of Islam cannot be seen as anything else but works and they are essential and must be performed or you are not a Muslim. I get the feeling whoever made this quiz believes the idiotic lies that we teach that we must perform works to "earn" salvation and does not see the physical acts that Muslims are required to do as works (amongst other things).

This is what i got, copy and paste.

Your Results

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

How did the Belief-O-Matic do? Discuss your results on our message boards.
