Fascinating! - 144,000 is a Fibonacci Number

This was sent to me by another brother. If you are not knowing what a fibonacci number is, check out this video...

144,0000 is a fibonacci number. Also, 144 is the 12th number in the sequence. There are a number of mathematical facts that tie in with the scriptures in a most intriguing way. For example, 7 times, or 2520 years, is evenly divisible by any number from 1 to 10 and also 12. And if we take the Biblical numbers: 3. for emphasis, 7. for heavenly completeness, 10. for earthly completeness 12. for organizational And multiply them we get ......................... 2520. Kinda strange, eh? Or perhaps insightful :)

I am always blown away by numbers and formulas. Math is how Jehovah created things. They are his tool that he uses. He loves using math because it always come out perfect every time. I really like thinking how mysterious and cool Jehovah is. He loves word puzzles, riddles and mathematical formulas that confound the wicked but that children can understand. He hides the truth from those who think they are so supremely intellectual and reveals the true 'A B C's' and '1 2 3's' of the simple facts to the humble.

It is certainly not hard to multiply certain numbers that total to 144,000. Pretty amazing even if that is not a Fibonacci number. Just so many coincidences that come up to make it profoundly important.

Absolutely right on! LOVE it~ I had to smile at the ABC's and 123's I deal with the young ones everyday and sure thank Jehovah for the simple facts to this humble one!!!

I love the fact that math works the same in ALL languages. So, when Jehovah confused the languages at Babel, the careful plan He already had in place for the vindication of His name and the salvation of mankind, was not affected by the language change at all. No re-calculations were needed. All systems were still ticking along perfectly. (tu)

144,000 is not a fibonacci number.

Actually, all numbers are Fibonacci numbers, if they are related by the golden ratio 1.618. So, if you started the sequence with 1000 instead of 1 in the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, etc.) you would get 144,000. It's just a formula which describes the way things grow.

There are other ratios of numbers which describe things like harmony in music, an octave being twice the string length and frequency. So, looking, for instance, at the dimensions of Noah's ark, 30 x 50 is a Fibonacci ratio, but the length 300 is not. It's a musical interval. Solomon's Temple also appears to have musical intervals, which makes for an interesting study. A question that I've often pondered, since frequency is a measurement of time, is whether Jehovah's timetable also adheres to musical intervals. :shrugs:

Not exactly scripurally significant, but I've always found it amusing that, according to some sources, there's about 144,000 vehicles crossing the Brooklyn Bridge each day.

Just one small problem with this; 144 is a fibonacci number, 144000 isn't. There are several sites where you can input numbers to see what qualities they have, and 144,000 is not a fibonacci number, or a prime number. Sorry, but you really should check your source.

A question that I've often pondered, since frequency is a measurement of time, is whether Jehovah's timetable also adheres to musical intervals. :shrugs:

Right now I'm just a mom, for the most part. But way back, a long time ago in college, I did my thesis on the Mathematics of Beauty while studying architecture, which actually led me to the truth!

On a few occasions, some members whom claim to believe in Jesus Christ adamantly assert that God used a Fibonacci sequence as a timetable in the book of Revelation.  Even when it is explained, I remain confused and just can't figure out how is it possible to apply the Fibonacci sequence to any timetable for that matter.  I suppose using numerology as a timeline becomes a big deal to some who claim to know the Bible.  How do we witness to these type folks?
