I guess we’ll have to apply what we learned at last year’s convention for this year’s convention 😂

So they do give a preview of the convention for this broadcast? But they don’t announce the song. Interesting. Maybe they’ll just release it and put a tab on the top of the main page saying it’s released as they’ve done before for GB updates and breaking news like the new GB members and the field service report adjustments. I wonder if they’ll release the program that way as well.

All of this Is a loving change. Being able to briefly welcome DFd ones is so nice. I saw a few DFd brothers and sisters at last years convention and at the circuit assemblies. I was excited to see them there and making steps to be reinstated. Now that I can give them a brief and encouraging greeting, I’m gonna take advantage of every opportunity I can at our meetings to do so. Maybe it’ll be those little greetings that encourages them to keep going to the meetings and keep making progress towards reinstatement. They’ll see that we still love them and want them to come back. That small greeting can make a difference for them. This is proof of how amazing Jehovah’s love is and that he misses and still loves his lost sheep and doesn’t give up on them. I’m hopeful that we’ll see more reinstatement announcements and less disfellowshipping announcements from this point forward. It’s so strongly evident now that Jehovah truly doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed and he’ll do whatever he can to save as many as possible. Now as for ties, it depends on my mood and how I feel that day for our weekly meetings 😂. If I decide not to wear a tie for a meeting, I’ll bring one with me and put it in my bag just in case I have to do a last second substitution or if something comes up that requires a tie. Always good to be prepared. For conventions, I will not wear a tie or jacket while waiting to get in. It gets extremely hot so this will make it more comfortable. I’ll put on the tie that’s in my bag after I cooldown, drink water and rest for a couple minutes before proceeding to work my assignment. Also, a brother who worked a later SMPW shift last night told me that he and a few other brothers didn’t have ties on during their shifts.

Don’t forget the beard! 😂

Very happy about no ties. It’ll help during those hot days and even for the convention waiting to get in.

I know it’s a long shot but if they do decide to add older songs along with newer ones, I hope song 91, “Being Taught by Jehovah”, from the “Sing Praises” book returns. One can hope lol.

At that time we needed someone who was unafraid of the church and governments. In the Let the Light Shine video, there’s a part where local Catholics and Nazi sympathizers started yelling at him when he was giving a talk at a convention. There’s audio of him saying “Note the Catholics and Nazis who are trying to disrupt our meeting but by God’s grace cannot do it!”. Talk about boldness. It goes to show that Jehovah knows what we need when we need it and decides on who will provide it.

For me personally, I’m so happy about this. This means that if I oversleep and have to rush to get ready for the meeting, I no longer have to worry about shaving. I usually shave every Thursday and Sunday morning so now I only have to shave once a week! I won’t grow a beard but I’m ok going to the meeting with a little peach fuzz going on 😂. I know an elder who works 12-14 shifts and he’s said that he has to rush to shave and get ready when he gets home from work. Now he can relax a little bit and shave the next day. This change is very helpful and I’m appreciative for it.

I’m so appreciative of the GB updates. They’re so useful and it shows that they really want us to know what the organization is doing. They can make major announcements without having to wait for conventions or annual meetings. And as we just saw, they can release new publications that way as well. I remember Brother Splane one time said in a convention talk in 2020 that the GB didn’t really know how useful JWB would be for the future. They just thought it would be used as an encouraging program every month. They never imagined it would be used for virtual conventions and to provide updates as to what’s going on during the pandemic and after. He said they now see how and why Jehovah and Jesus guided them to create this arrangement and what a blessing it’s been for all of us. I have so much love for the GB for all the hard work and self sacrifices they do and make for us.

There’s going to be a special program from the US branch that all congregations in Florida (at least to the best of my knowledge that it’s all of Florida) will be tied into Saturday, November 5th. It’s expected to have updates on the relief work, experiences and a shepherding talk by a member of the US branch committee. If any friends here in Florida know anything else about this meeting, please feel free to share. I’m not sure if the program is going to originate from the branch office itself or from a local assembly/Kingdom Hall.

That music video was fantastic. I’ve always loved that anime art style. I never thought in a hundred years I’d ever see a video produced by the slave have that kind of art style. Reminded me of a Studio Ghibli movie. I really hope that one day we get a drama or a series in this art style in modern times. Or even do a movie with this art style following a brother as he goes through a concentration camp back in Nazi Germany, how he came out faithful and uses his experience to help others in difficult times. There’s so many unique possibilities with this art style! I hope they really use it more.

I have a lot of questions and concerns but I trust the GB and I’m sure this is something they carefully considered for a long time. We’ll just have to wait and see what changes and arrangements are in place. Will masks be encouraged? Will smaller venues be chosen to encourage smaller crowds? Will there be some social distancing in place? If there are multiple smaller conventions taking place one weekend, there’s a possibility some can tie into others. Pre recorded talks can be presented. Lots of possibilities. I’m sure we’ll get more info soon.

I’m sure some of them would love a fishing trip right now 😂

I wasn’t sure where to post this but I absolutely loved how the new Become Jehovah’s Friend music video! Seeing the cartoon of Brother Knorr releasing the NWT was so nice! And how nice it was to see the whole Governing Body as cartoons! I loved that! It shows that they are very light hearted and I’m sure they all had a good laugh when those who drew them showed it to the GB. We know they all have a great sense of humor so I can imagine them bantering back and forth with each other. It really impressed on me that even though they’re anointed and are the appointed faithful and discreet slave, they all have a sense of humor and seeing this video shows how much they appreciate everything we do to support them in their assignment. These brothers are a gift and even though I’ve only met a few of them for a brief moment in person, I love them so much for all that they do for me and the brotherhood and how they’re not so rigid and are light hearted and treat us with so much love.

How is everyone able to see it now?

When I checked this morning, everything was back to normal. All publications, music and videos were there. Thank you everyone for your help.

Ok. So I’ll patiently wait for a bit. In the meantime I’ll download the jwpub version for tomorrow’s watchtower and wait for the rest of the publications to show up. I think that’s the gist of what I have to do haha. Thanks.

I just bought a new iPad Pro and when I install JW Library, the only items I can download are the Bible and daily scriptures. No magazines and the meetings tab says that no publications are available. I pull down on the Home Screen and it says check failed. This is a wifi only model. Any help would be appreciated.

I just see the audio file. Is the pdf available?

I got it in JW Library. Odd that the website is having this error. First time I’ve ever had any issue with the website.

I can’t open the video. This is what I see every time I try to watch it. Can’t even see other videos either.
