  1. I use it now and it beats the competition. I have the PC version and the iOS version. Of course, the PC version is leaps and bounds ahead of the mobile version though.
  2. Wow so much work it looks nearly impossible! Or simply just overwhelming. It looks like Jehovah "proceeded to fill [them] with the spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding and in knowledge and in every sort of craftsmanship and for designing devices, for working in gold and silver and copper, and in working of stones to set them and in working of wood to make ingenious products of every sort. And he has put it into his heart that he should teach" (Exodus 35:31-34) Many brothers, ones of which have no professional résumé or experience on construction and how things are put together, are pulling this off. You would think a certain task would be overwhelming, but not so with a person who 'actually' loves Jehovah with every ounce of his life, not so with a person who 'worships' Jehovah in the true sense of the word and doesn't take that word "worship" lightly. If a person loves Jehovah from the bottom of his heart he will never consider a task as a burden, but a privilege despite it's difficulty, a privilege to know that every drop of sweat he puts into his hard work that his Creator is looking down on him with glad feelings in his own heart. The man knows that a sacrifice is not a sacrifice, unless it's a sacrifice. Doing hard and seemingly impossible work for our God gives us exactly that, a deep sense of sacrifice, which is why we are strengthened soooo much when we carry it out, knowing also that Jehovah is helping us also. I believe working hard for Jehovah God in any fashion actually helps a person develop 'intimacy' with God. Intimacy is what gives a warm attaching connection between us and Jehovah, which is really a result of deep love.
  3. As you get older there are three things that happen. First, you start to lose your memory...and I can't remember the other two..

  4. Coffee and service? =P the coffee bean is proof of God's love! We can't say otherwise.

I don't believe in coffee beans. Why is there so much suffering in the world if good coffee exists?

  5. In no particular order. 1. Equipd (This keeps getting better and better, there will soon be an update that changes everything and they are waiting for approval from the branch, next update will be HUGE) 2. iBooks 3. jwbible (I never found it so easy to type in a keyword and have every scripture pop up so seamlessly for lookup, wow.) 4. Wiki Offline (and an online version) 5. YouVersion Bible (Why? The answer is simple; it is the only app that gives a whopping 36 Bible versions FREE - guess what else? They're all downloadable for offline use! How can you beat that? I challenge you ) 6. iSilo (For offline Watchtower Library) 7. WTLibrary Online link (for online Watchtower Library so I have both) 8. JWTalk (yes A link directly to this forum, I find it that important) 9. Memorable (the greatest app on the planet that lets you add your own version of the Bible in such a way that helps you remember verses. You won't find ANYTHING like it - I challenge you) 10. JW.org link (because how can I not have it, right?) 11. MyTime 12. Dictation (it translates what you say onto text, it is the best quality one you will find in the App Store. Perfect for taking notes by mouth and translating to text automatically) 13. Multi-Track (Mixing audio files together, practicing talks and singing parts and it is one of the few out there that's multitrack for voice over) 14. Strongs Concordance (this is incredible for those whol like to do research, it's the complete strongs concordance on your iphone!) 15. Archeology links (two of the best official archeology websites available - Jehovah's Witnesses are facinated by this and helps for reseach!) 16. Bible Verses 17. 9News, Denverpost and FOX News links (Why? Because Jehovah's Witnesses like to keep up with the world around them and what's going on, much like "Watching the world" in the Awake. 18. 4 major JW Defense websites dedicated to accurate defenses against all who criticize our Bible and beliefs. 19. Mnemotechnics link (Why? Because it's for those dedicated to wanting to improve memory for Bible scriptures, I even made a topic on this a while back) There's more, but half of these are just on my front iPhone page.
  6. I love so many talks from that website though. I use to listen to at least 2 a day lol I still listen to a few a week - I guess that's why I had so much to say in my last post =P Actually, the best talks I have ever heard are all on that website =] I just have to be careful what I share and to whom I share. I had a sister say to me one time "this brother has it all wrong" and I felt like a fool for sharing it lol She understood it was an old talk though.
  7. I LOVE and collect every talk on that website. However, I literally share this with nobody in my congregation. It's okay for me to have the talks, but as far as sharing with everyone? Nope. It's ok to have this goldmine as a personal treasure island but the FDS doesn't want us sharing these talks and they have perfectly fine reasons for saying so. Steve prefers to keep the website up regardless. I used to think "why can't we share talks from other congregations? What's so bad?" and then just a few of several reasons came to my mind. 1. Keep in mind that many of the talks are outdated and not entirely correct with our understanding today. Don't forget that MOST, almost ALL of the talks on that website are from 1970-1990! Do you know what that means? That means there's heaps upon heaps of incorrect information in those talks if you pay enough attention. However, that doesn't mean every one of them are incorrect, I'm just making the point that they're old talks! 2. Did you know that most of those talks are CO visit talks? Good talks indeed! However, did you also know that some congregations need specific counsel by the CO and so they may get a little blunt at times and have to really counsel a congregation? This means that many talks may have "congregation specific" counsel that applies to them, and not every person around the world who downloads the audio for a good ol' Bible discourse? Someone in another country can download one of these talks and say "hey this isn't right!". Also, some could even complain about false information... oh boy, then we have apostates that can use them... I mean the list goes on and on why we aren't supposed misuse them. These reasons, among many others is why I chose to just keep these talks for personal use or close friends who understand all of this. We need to make sure information is accurate too. We could mistakenly even spread an inaccurate teaching to a brother or sister and then they turn around and share it with another and it becomes a big thing in the congregation ALL because of sharing a talk that we should have kept to ourselves. To be quite honest though - I'm sure most of the friends wouldn't make this a problem. But don't forget who Jehovah has left in charge of our spiritual FEEDING - what we digest and take in... It is the "Faithful and DISCREET slave". No, not the "Faithful and CARELESS Slave". So if you ask me I would say they are doing an absolutely incredible job at being discreet they way the Bible predicted they would. Should we be surprised? It only makes sense that the spiritual chefs and nutritionists who are in charge of cooking our spiritual meals make sure we digest the right things. Actually, the FDS has more say in these audio talks than anyone else. Did I sound too strict? I wasn't trying to be but it's all true lol
  8. This is incredible lol I am very curious as to why they are using our Bible as a representation of passing this Bill. Don't they realize the BIble they are showing is an evil-corrupted-jehovah-witness Bible? lol Speaking from the viewpoint of many of our opposers. Ok it could be one of five reasons. 0. Maybe these people who put the video together know our history of being persecuted and fought against by the law and authorities and so they figured "Hey! we should use the JW Bible because they are an example of being hated and attacked for believing the Bible.. so we can use that Bible to represent our Bible Class Bill video to show that YES it really IS ok to read the Bible! And these classes would be completely religiously neutral! What better Bible to use on our video than the NWT?" 1. The ones putting this video together have literally 0 knowledge of Bibles and religion and had no idea the New World Translation was our Bible and didn't even think past the point of offending anyone. They simply just needed a Bible not knowing who's Bible they were using! 2. The ones who put this clip together just grabbed the nearest free BIble they could find to put on their video and thought "oh look it's a Kingdom Hall! They have free Bibles we can take to use in our video" or 3. They're possibly making a subtle point that "Jehovah's Witnesses have an outstanding reputation for teaching the Bible, so why not set up our own non-religious Bible study classes in our public schools? Afterall, Jehovah's Witnesses are an excellent example in this respect." or 4. They used our translation to prove that these classes can be for "anyone"(Including us) and are completely religiously neutral, and see here! We will use the NWT to prove how neutral this Bill will make these classes! We are using the NWT to show how impartial or neutral they really will be. See? Even JW's are included.
  9. Just to inform all the friends here - blogtrottr checks jw.org every hour. This is awesome getting notifications for our publications. How easy! Also this may not work for some of you and I'll explain why. When jw.org gives your new feed link it will be invalid for blogtrottr. This is because for some reason the link that jw.org gives you begins with index.html?/ when it should begin with http://www.jw.org/apps/. So to fix that just add "http://www.jw.org/apps/" ahead of "index.html?/" and the link will now be valid for a feed. I'm not sure why jw.org gives an invalid link. You can't get feed from a link without knowing the server it's on lol jw.org
  10. Ahh I love that scripture. It reminds me of these three even more so! (Psalm 96:9) Bow down to Jehovah in holy adornment; Be in severe pains because of him, all [YOU people of] the earth. (Psalm 99:1) Jehovah himself has become king. Let the peoples be agitated. He is sitting upon the cherubs. Let the earth quiver. (Nehemiah 9:6) “You are Jehovah alone; you yourself have made the heavens, [even] the heaven of the heavens, and all their army, the earth and all that is upon it, the seas and all that is in them; and you are preserving all of them alive; and the army of the heavens are bowing down to you. I tend to favor the scriptures that put Jehovah on high the most! These one's stick out like a sore thumb when looking at those galaxies. Yes, be in severe pains because of him, be agitated and quiver because JEHOVAH the King of Eternity is preserving all of us alive! Just think of those words and the meaning and effect on you and what that has to do with Jehovah's name
  11. This is true. My wife and a sister were at a door once and the sister said "Hello sir, we are here to offer you the latest Watchtower and Awake!" The man get's angry and says "What!? What do you mean watch my weight!!? I got enough magazines telling me to watch my weight!" In a furry ball of laughter the sister then corrected him and calmed him down and things were good from there!
  12. I thought this was supposed to be general news about Jehovah's Witnesses(as it has always looked like), not like a public news board. I see now, thank you Nancy!
  13. I don't get it. What does this guy have to do with us? Is this the same guy in the other topic who is causing our organization a possible 20 million dollars because he molested a child? Man people are sickkk! Rev 22:20 "He that bears witness of these things says, 'Yes; I am coming quickly.'" "Amen! Come, Lord Jesus."
  14. That is so true. I pray for those who are in a windstorm of satanic pressure. I always think to myself and to Jehovah "wow how are they going to do this!?... how would I endure that!?". We just can't slave for two masters and we will find that out either one way or another. Some of us have to learn the hard way Mm now I remember How sad that she had to die like that, she had so much more she wanted to do for Jehovah. At least she perhaps finished her race with endurance to the end and obtained a stamped approval of a resurrection. Now let's all make sure we make it.
  15. Does anybody here know who Teresa Graves is? She was a big movie star, in the 70's I think, and she has her story in Audio how she became a Jehovah's Witness and there was a point in her life where she suddenly changed her whole outlook, her movie set had all these restrictions and rules lol She was such a bubbly sister and her experience here is so encouraging. At that time she was about to be in a vampire movie that would have made her rich, but she rejected everything and served Jehovah till her heart exploded lol She died faitihfully. Teresa Graves Story (at a convention) It's true we do question things, but I try to remember also that people develop at their own pace. I can't even count the dozens that I've seen come in the truth, while at first there were questionable things, it was because they were still in development from spiritual babes to adults. Some people take longer to mature than others and so looking at the life he lived before, I can't even picture him in my mind dropping all his habbits at once. In fact, there are weaknesses that we all have that may NEVER be fixed until the new system. I guess you can say it's all about heart condition and sincerity I like to think of Abimelech
