I saw on the news this morning someone commenting on ISIS and why young people are going to join them in the fight and the perspective that the West has to try understand in order to fight to stop it. He commented that ISIS believes they are fighting the final war coming up to the apocalypse and that the prophecy says they must spread across the world and then be diminished to a force of about 5000. At that point Jesus Christ is to step in and save them. So the discussion was about how the youth believe they are going to fight the last war of Armageddon . This was on CNN SCERNOMISH (sp).

I can see the use of the technology we have now but all "good uses" like now. I saw Instagram on the list but if you follow jw inspirational or some of the others it is really encouraging. Tons of posts of brothers and sisters in all kinds of service around the world and bethel pictures. I hope stuff like that is still used - for a while anyway.

What an amazing way to start the morning and start this week!

I said this in another thread but it's appropriate here - it just feels like all the chess pieces are in place. Everything WE are waiting for as Jehovah's Witnesses is now possible. It might not happen right now - but it IS possible - the world players are all on one page. As Brother Stavro posted " These have one thought, so they give their power and authority to the wild beast." The world will be shocked - but we watch this through a different lens. Exciting times.

I find it really interesting that THIS pope is being hailed as a "house cleaner" and firing factions and groups within the Vatican and going against the "old guard" in SO many different ways. He has fans. People can't stop talking about how different he is - a game-changer even. Well...let the games begin I can see his calling for this working group (islam/catholics) to be "heard" differently...simply because it's him....not former popes. Maybe he makes progress...maybe he doesn't but as the world watches and hopes for something.... we'll be the only people standing back understanding what is really going on. Just my .02 cents

This app is the most amazing...I updated the app for my iphone/ipad that I use at the meetings and it's so awesome to have the study books there (school and draw close book). I noticed that the app has not been updated yet for windows so checked out the website to double check. Thanks! The pope's skirts - or for that matter, the skirts of Christendom's clergy are like spongy paper towels designed to soak up the filth they are put in!! The clergy think they are clean and above it all... but their skirts soak up all the blood and corruption of the centuries of war and death they have caused.

I live on the edge of a forest.....my backyard fence is at the forest edge. We get a lot of big wind-storms on the coast of British Columbia and a lot of trees come down. Recently they logged some of the forest behind my house and I notice they left some tall trees in the middle of the logged patch all alone - solitary. They have been coming down with each wind storm because they are not protected by trees around them. I see one still left standing...but it won't be long....probably come down in the next storm. The grove and thick forest still left is solid...the thick trees all protect each other...some come down but they don't fall completely as they are left leaning against other trees. I think this is a good lesson for us while we wait for the impending wind storm

This story is being repeated every hour on the hour on our national news.

It really makes me stop and consider so much...I don't think I take things for granted and I am very thankful but today I found myself getting my truck fixed (routine maintenance) and was given an estimate of over $200 because of a computerizes locking mechanism that broke in the door. It "started" to ruin my day when I just stopped and said to myself "I have this truck - I have a driveway to go park it in and I'll be dry and warm tonight". It puts things in perspective. They are in my prayers.

Our Canadian news reported this morning that over 10K dead in just one city. It also showed many safe in shelters so knowing our brothers and sisters had advanced warning, are obedient and would have been told to go to the shelters I am hopeful they are ok. Our special needs this week was on our disaster kits...so this certainly makes that hit home and makes me double check everything.
