Your device font size will do that. Try going into the device settings and reduce the font size.

I have a Fire 7 also. (Gen 4)

I tried different settings, but, I cannot duplicate that problem.

Which generation do you have?

Make sure you have the latest updates for your OS and the JW Library(10.6).

 

This is how the bible looks on my Fire 7 (4th gen) :

Maybe it is the text size setting in the JW Library app itself.  I set mine to a large size (bad eyesight) and the Bible Book Names change size then.  Set the text size smaller.  Open the app, select Bible, choose any book and select a chapter.  When the text is open on the screen, there should be the "3-dots" in the upper right corner.  Click on those dots.  The menu opens and about half-way down the list is "text settings".  Select a smaller setting (by moving the selector button).
