Job 37:14 "...Stop and consider carefully the wonderful works of God."

Fireflies produce “cold light.”

Firefly lights are the most efficient lights in the world—100% of the energy is emitted as light. Compare that to an incandescent bulb, which emits 10% of its energy as light and the rest as heat, or a fluorescent bulb, which emits 90% of its energy as light. Because it produces no heat, scientists refer to firefly lights as “cold lights.”

In a firefly's tail, you'll find two chemicals: luciferase and luciferin. Luciferin is heat resistant, and it glows under the right conditions. Luciferase is an enzyme that triggers light emission. ATP, a chemical within the firefly's body, converts to energy and initiates the glow. All living things, not just fireflies, contain ATP.

Yup.  Fireflies and their chemical 'cold light' are just a big accident of evolution.

Dear Ross, thanks for that. I truly enjoyed reading about the fireflies as an example of Jehovah's wondrous creation. It got me to thinking how many in the world refer to Satan as Lucifer, but it has been made clear to us that  is not correct. Lucifer was referring to the "king of Babylon." But the word lucifer means 'shning one.' (Originally heh-lel' in Hebrew.)  It obviously has lent itself to the two chemicals 'light.'  It deepens my appreciation for Job 37:14. YS, pauline, the word nerd.

Yes sis, my wife is the sweetest person I have in this world. She is very caring, very humble and and very wise too. I sometimes scream ( because of my gastric problem) and then I console her.

And its gayathri.

Gayathri, thanks for correcting me. She seems like a kind and gentle person. A 'capable wife', what a treasure. I hope to meet her in the new system. I look forward to it.
