Gray? Light Gray? Dove Gray?

OK, forgive me for being nit-picky. Oh I just can't stand a nit-picker. BUT I have a question about the color of the new Bible, I've been calling it dove gray since I first saw it. Being into fabrics the color "dove" was just right. Here's a swatch for an example. What is your opinion? It is the 3rd one in case you can't figure it out.

It only has one gray. The other shade of gray is black!  

 

EDIT - I take it back - after some research. It turns out GRAY was NOT a color in my crayon set. Let's go with "light black".

Here is a twist. I call it the Silver Bible.

 

But if its gonna be Grey. Then the Bible speaks about Grey headiness as a thing of beauty & Honor. Just a thought. LOLs.

I like my silver to jingle on my neck, wrist, or in my pocket. I think dove gray is pretty close.

The one I got has a nice feel to it. The pages are nice and bright and the wording is easy to read.

 

As far as the color of the cover ???? guess I am more concerned with the inside to worry about the "exact" color of the outside. It is gray ... dove, pale, bright, platinum, silver, soft, light ..... I'll just call mine gray, you can put any descriptor you like in front of it ... mine is gray.

Here is a test.

Look at the picture.  You see two shades of grey. 

Now put a finger in the middle.  turn your face and look elsewhere and again look at the picture afresh while your finger in the middle line..

how many greys you see?

I love the color. It is not silver. It really is dove gray. It feels creamy to the touch.

 

Guys... just a hint. Women LOVE color. Men... Ehhh, not so much. A guy will say. "That's green." A gal will say. "That is emerald or lime or hose green." My son used to argue with my daughter over colors. She could describe the color over the phone and I would get that exact color yarn and bring it home. Julie was like the homing pigeon of color.
