Water for your emergency kit?

Recommended Posts

I know this might sound crazy, but I wonder how many people in an emergency situation - never think of the 20 to 50 gallons of clean water they ALWAYS have sitting in their homes that is regularly cleaned and refreshed??  Any guesses where this is in just about every home???

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Your water heater!

Side point: It is NOT a "hot" water heater because hot water doesn't need heating! It has always bothered me when people call it that!  :lol1:

Welcome to my club, Chuck. Someone calling it a hot water heater, is like a clanging bell in my ear. Same for mis-pronounced words.

Interesting fact about silver making drinking water potable. Did you know that copper has anti-bacterial capabilities? When the instructions for the temple were being given,, the basin for Aaron and the priests to wash their hands and feet, was made of copper. I have also read that surgical tools are being made of copper, for that same reason.

Wondering if clean copper pennies would sanitize drinking water. Maybe we could give our water departments a hint?       :uhhuh:
